A great book is “what color is your parachute” (a career changers / job hunting guide) - the book is very encouraging about finding the a job you want - but remember “you can be fired for any reason or no reason whatsoever “

i got fired after 6 years of climbing the corporate ladder and was baker acted on a saturday an hour before i was supposed to be off work and was fired on monday...... and this was the end of October 2019, and a couple months later we were in covid lockdown..... i spiraled and started drinking a lot and my girlfirend of 10+ years left me.... things will get better
