For the record he’s not really my aunt😅

@Joshuamrf

Bro they went in, look at each other and decided it wasn’t worth it

@apexlucas

I am his aunt

@partygamergirl6160

Although it's called a velvet ant, it is not an ant. It is a species of wasp even though it has no wings

@tuxedotoad4160

They’re called cow killers as they have one of the most painful stings in the animal kingdom. So painful in fact that it was believed it could kill a cow (hence there name), but it’s been established as an old wise tale. They’re also known as Velvet Ants, but they aren’t actually ants at all. In fact, they’re a species of wasp! Female velvet ants lack wings while males have them, but also lack a stinger . However most predators leave them alone regardless, due to the reputation of their female counterparts. They’re also solitary which is unusual for wasps.

@antsscientist430

@bcjflorr

@dataznfoo

A velvet ant isn’t an actual ant. It’s a wasp without wings lol and my god their carapaces are not easy to crush

@Madtigres

@qxwt

@pancakerat8656

Fun facts velvet ants are actually wasps and that other "bug” you caught is actually a crustacean called an isopod or Rollie poly

@hudsonrosd1931

You all know for a fact he killed them after the vid😂😂😂😂

@McShaaaaaw

I read about this in my book. I think this little guy is a red velvet ant. Although its name has "ant" in it, it's a wasp. It's usually found in dry places like deserts. It makes a squeaking sound when steppedon or handled, that's a warning that it's going to bite. It's bites are very painful but not enough to actually kill a cow. (If they talked about this in the video, i just looked at the first few seconds of the video then wrote about it 😅 but you can copy this if you have a test on these)
Edit: i just realized i copied someone else's comment 💀
