@cmdrjinxo7846

I had a woman roll back into my Golf R, she then reported me for going into back of her, insurance blamed me also. She had a tow bar which ripped through my bumper and adaptive cruise control unit etc. Luckily I had a dash cam and when viewed by insurance everyone then blamed her as it showed me at 0 mph, always get a Dash cam.

@squonk56

Rob ... I installed a dash cam a couple of years ago for 2 reasons.....
1. Too many Barstuds that'll turn you over !!
2. CRAZY Barstuds that can't friggin drive and do their best to take you out!!

@Neil-Hanson67

This is why i always have a dash cam, not because i can't drive or insurance purposes Rob, its because of situations like yours.

@WayneMartin-of1ty

Great video Wayne from lovely car company 😀 ❤️

@MetalVII

The only reason I installed dashcams in my car and my wife’s car is because other people can’t drive.

The main incident that pushed me into a dashcam is a HGV that wanted to do more than the posted limit of 40mph.

The HGV undertook (left lane = left turn only and the other two lanes went straight on at the roundabout that was upcoming, I was in the middle lane to go over said roundabout) and he tried to use his trailer to swipe me (no indicators and waving without using any of his fingers out of the window).

That was the day that I was selling my car to WBAC so my wife was in a different car, ahead by like 5 seconds, so witnessed everything and was ahead of the HGV. She told me that the trucker took off his seatbelt and had his hand on his door, all of this without a dashcam.

Since then we’ve always had them installed.

@Nobodie99

Hi mate your boots are cool , I would be more worried about those girls jeans your wearing.

@phil2927

Saying people can't drive just because they may need proof of an accident (like your Wife!) is a ignorant and rather stupid thing to say.

@bethanyhannay6554

I had a dash cam front and rear and it shows the other driver had the damage pre-existing before he gently nudged me after I over took. It was gentle because there was no damage to my car but the steel wing and door and plastic bumper were already crushed on the other car. The Police stated that it was a crash for cash but despite this my insurance company settled in the fraudsters favour and haven't even let me know officially yet. In fact they weren't interested and told me to complain to the Financial Ombudsman who cannot force them to correct their mistake. This is disgusting behaviour from Ageas!

@phaeton_buggy1575

What's happening with the toe rag that had the EML bulb painted out, did cleaning of the knock sensor cure it completely?

@63noonoo

I have a front and rear dashcam as on my last car my wife was rear ended when she turned left at a junction and the car behind turned right and did not stop. Cost me £200 to have bumper repositioned and scuff painted. I have been driving for over 50 years and I don't doddle along but drive to the road and traffic conditions as all GOOD drivers should. Remember a dash cam can convict you as well as work in your favour in case of an accident !!

@Man_v_Cars

I can't believe that you're so close to Bradford and Keighley and don't have a dashcam, jeez. Crash for cash Central.

@philwindows6932

Cracking video, keep up with the good banter. Highly knowledgeable stuff. I would only like to add. Shouldn't you have a camera for the rear of the vehicle as well as the front ??

@TataruTaru

Or 4th reason - People need proof now because insurance won't back you without it. You know, like you said in the video and you are now paying out of pocket for.

@brianhaines5835

Wow crappy attitude toward those with dash cams, you just slagged off the majority of ordinary motorists who wish to protect themselves from idiots on the roads, including those who make illegal left turns and potentially cause accidents! Sadly I do like your posts!!

@monkiimagic-IY

Yup, Dashcam is purely for evidence if you are unfortunately in a collision. I had someone sideswipe me in my FK2 Type R around 5yrs ago, I didn't have a camera and it took nearly a year for the person who hit me to admit fault after going backwards and forwards with solicitors etc. Fortunately, my wife works at a solicitors and told me to take a load of pictures so I could evidence everything and corroborate what happened. This was invaluable advice and basically proved that the gentleman that hit was was trying to lie his way out of it to his solicitor. I purchased a dashcam afterwards and wouldn't drive my car without it now.

@DaleSteel

That's a small pan roof rob. My front house door must have a pan roof based on that lol

@mcjordi

Dash cam all they way it protects me In cases like yours

@waynecooper3256

Love your honesty and delivery but the Collins will not be happy 😂😂😂😂

@andy-u9j3n

People need to be aware of the risks of being involved in a accident dealing with it privately and not informing the insuance company .If discovered by the said company it can and will void your insurance.

@davidhudson8960

Trouble is there's no consequence to lying through your teeth. If you could prove the other person was lying via a dashcam, and they were then flagged on some insurance database somewhere as an untrustworthy unethical 🤬 therefore requiring more expensive premiums, things might improve.
