What have you shot in log? I really want to see how you use it to make your videos more cinematic!

Bro, 16m video, all I wanted was how to set the log profile

@ShikharSharma1398

Just lower the contrast to -4, saturation to -4, sharpness 0 and color tone -4 and you have your DIY CLOG ! You don't have to waste money for a file that just manipulate these 4 settings.

Hi, I have a Canon SL3 (250D) that I bought 3 years ago when I didn’t know much about cameras, nowadays I am getting into video making. I really wanted the sony a7R V, however it’s extremely expensive and I don’t make that kind of money yet. I thought that my canon was too limited to shoot high quality videos, I am glad to know that there’s a workaround that. I am a little lost yet, but I’ll keep studying to get a better outcome out of my camera. Thanks!

@DoozyyTV

With 8-bit cameras cinestyle looks a bit better than that C-Log imo and you actually lose more colors when you color grade that 8-bit footage, so the more you need to color grade the worse it'll look. In that case the neutral setting would be better because it requires less color grading. But cinestyle is still useful for a more cinematic look especially with plenty of light.

@srgtchanco54

just downloaded CInestyle and i can't wait to up the quality. Thank you!

@GoldinEntertainment

Hey great video... just need to know where to download CLOG3? It says on the link its sold out, I'm desperate to get it please let me know asap thanks!!

@serbza

Is this better than HDR-PQ? I have the R50

@al.kowthar

I bought the pack but it's not uploading on the Eos R10. is there any way I can fix this?

@theurbanodyssey

Hello and thank you for this video . The idea of being able to use the clog on my old camera had been intriguing me for a while and so I decided to try. I think we have to be honest and admit that the 8-bit file gives us little room for maneuver. Those who want to dedicate themselves to color correction and color grading should have a camera suitable for the purpose! That said, with my Canon M6 II I tried 3 different log profiles (Cinestyle, Drobiazco and James Miller); none of the 3 satisfied me! Trying to edit it, the file fills with noise rather quickly; chromatic banding appears and the image is rather degraded. What worked best in my case was to use a neutral color profile lowering saturation and contrast to the minimum (specifically what I use: (sharpness +2, contrast and saturation -4, color tone +1): in this case it is possible to make small improvements to the file without degrading it.

@asmrlon7966

Oh man this is exciting! I can hold on to my Canon RP for a little while longer before I switch to the Canon R or R6. Thank you!

@TenthElementGraphics

getting a log profile on my canon 90D? uhhhh, YES PLEASE. Just purchased.

@marshawnlynch6244

Trusting the most important shoot of my young life to your C Log 3. I hope it can match the real C Log 3.

@SayehAvaPazouki

For my needs, it seems cinestyle works better. Cause I use finic pro too so cinestyle and filmic log3 works fine together 👍🏻

@La-verdad-aunque-duela

Does it only work for videos or for pictures too? Thanks for the video!

@ChocoStream

i'll stay with cinestyle still better just the fact that it's free :D

@nykkyc3562

What I find interesting from C-Log 3 (James Millers) is that if you compare the skin tones from the right eye to the left, it looks like there's color info lost. Neutral smooths out the skin tones on the left eye unlike C-Log 3.

@neverletthemtameyou

Man... I have an EOS M (without Magic Lantern!) After overcomming the hurdles of having to get the camera out of the small rig to read the serial number, then having to turn the house on end looking for a USB to USB-mini B, and rage quitting a few times, I finally installed Cinestyle.
I then compared cinestyle to neutral profile on the default settings. And man the neutral profile looks over saturated, over contrasty and cheap when comparing them on the lcd screen. I guess after a short trip through Davinci Resolve this can look really good.
Also, reducing contrast to -4 like on the cinestyle profile helped the neutral profile a lot.
Cheers.
