The bank I used to work for (a major UK bank) stopped allowing screen sharing while their app was running quite some years ago. It'd just show up as a black screen, then log you out or even close the app entirely. It was pretty nifty protection.

Google making a AI button means they want to remove AI answer on the top for search which means that is causing faster answers so fewer clicks... which means Google is loosing ad money because people aren't clicking links. This is a big deal showing AI is hard to monitize and an early sign it's not as effective as Google thought it would be to make money with.

I would be absolutely incandescent with rage if a company revoked and cancelled a lifetime license that I'd bought, the fact that the new owners didn't know about them is 100% a you problem and a result of poor due diligence during an acquisition, or an outright lie. The ability to purchase a LTD would have been visible on the website, that's on them. Also, the income initially generated by the sale of LTDs would have contributed towards the status and value of the company being purchased. Those emails from the new owner are embarrassing and pathetic, showing a comment from some mythical make believe customer saying "derp I thought lifetime meant the lifetime of the company" is both moronic, stupid, and nothing but gaslighting. Literally nobody who buys a "lifetime" license believes it ends if the company changes ownership.
