Covid gave me enough time to realize that I was working mostly to pay taxes and insurance, with an income of $75k. Over 30k was going to pay mandatory insurance and taxes. The remaider of the money was for all of the bills, including mortgage and food. I was working myself sick and had less than a couple hundred left for me every check. 😡. That's when I decided to retire. I have saved $150k so far, in five 5 years. I have not yet received any government assistance. Just living by faith and a part- time gig.

I wish I had listened to Mr. Sowell years ago. I am always stunned by his conclusions followed by his reasoning. His social and political analysis should be college courses with the primers being introduced in high school.
