RIP Rituraj. They both came to my house in SDA many many years ago to borrow a sweater for one of his TV serials. SRK is a peculiar guy. I have known him all my life and have completely lost touch with him. I will say that Rituraj was not one of his close friends, but a friend who helped him get ahead in theater in Delhi. I believe that the reason Shahrukh has never helped any of his friends including Divya Seth, Sanjoy Roy in this pic is because he is a crab in a pot of boiling water, who climbed over other crabs to escape. He used Sanjoy to get into TAG, Divya's mother Sushma Seth to get into movies, and never once looked back. He doesn't have a rear view mirror because he thinks that in order to get ahead in life you have to not let the past get in your way. He hates being poor, and for a person that grew up with really rich friends around him, this insecurity has never left him.
