Help me get to 10k on TikTok? :_liuLOVE: https://www.tiktok.com/@lightitupdan

@draegore

Also, use focus mode to aim your strikes more precisely before they land, you can even change direction during TCS. It's awesome.

@goofyahh8373

Focus mode has made wake up hits so much easier now I like to to the combo and when my little hit of tcs touches the ground I instantly turn around so that the big hit hits the monster it’s so fun to pull off

@HiIThinkImReal

Switched to GS from IG and can’t go back. I’ll always love the IG, but nothing beats the feeling toppling a monster with a perfectly timed Offset Slash.

@Sadeyr

I really, really hope wounds and focus mode stay in the game going forward. I think they might need a lil tweaking like wounds flinching too often on monsters with condensed hit boxes and lots of stacked wounds, like spiders, but the mechanics feel perfect for monster hunter and focus mode in particular feels like exactly what we've needed for soo long to make weapons feel less clunky. Is it easier? Yes, but the difficulty based on being locked into animations so heavily was not a good kind of difficulty, esp for greatsword where you spend a lot of time in those animations. Focus mode not only makes it feel more fluid but also it makes sense- that weapon is heavy af, you can use its momentum to change directions and swing around with it, being locked to a singular direction with something that heavy just doesn't make sense. So focus mode feels great for it.

IF they need to tweak stuff harder due to focus mode making more attacks hit, therefore making fights easier, at least its just adjusting health to compensate, where as the gameplay is massively improved by focus mode's presence. Large weapons no longer feel like youre missing half the time due to rapid monster movement, and makes fighting quicker monsters far more fun than in the past.

@deadwhitedragon9751

Also to note, the initial hit of focus strike follows wide slash logic (keeps charge of last move), and the end of offset or focus strike are similar to strong charge (can be followed up with either tcs or a powered up wide slash)

@korythompson3015

The GS is so nice in this game

@AceofSpades280

the tackle also lets you trigger counterstrike since even though you didnt get knocked back, you got hit by a knock back move (if the attack you tackled through was big enough)

@RealShojin

Another one, Use offset and focus look backwards to compensate for monsters with delayed hit moves, for example arkveld.. you can still hit the follow up strike like this too

@KidDynamite22

Ben looking everywhere for the strong wide slash tech, couldn’t remember the paths, thanks so much!

@alexanderson4497

The tackle can stun too, its rare to get a proc and shouldnt be relied on solely for the purpose but pretty satisfying when it happens.

@praetorxyn

We have to induct the monsters into The Church of the Holy Bonk. Greatsword is fire in this game.

@venom0237

A couple other things:
- A charged attack that's cancelled into a tackle will retain that charge for the tackle too, very easy to knock monsters out
- you can follow up your charged tackle with a wide slash, this will also retain the charge level
- a successful focus attack can be followed up into tcs OR a wide slash. This will be the same as the one that's (o, o, o; b, b, b) and can be followed up with paddle, lvl 2 charge, or instant block
- for the love of God, all you new GS users need to use the paddle, it's great for repositioning and does crazy stun and exhaust damage
- a successful offset attack that doesn't start the slinger zip animation can also be link to the charged leaping wide slash

I could go on, but there's fun in discovery. Keep having fun bonk boys!

@Dragoon_Kenji27

I didnt know that tackle was really good with Hyper armor and i need to be doing it more

@1LyfGamer

Nice vid

@KemorW

i learn today after 45h that i can Focus while charging the attack. You can even do a full 360 without having to cancel or dodging

@Unyaum

I like your words, funny man. Pity they're all going over my head

@giyu2856

GS can also focus slash in the air just like Sns

@taros789

Gs, my beloved.

@unnlucky333

i thought greatsword was broken in world but it somehow got stronger offense, defense, a counter and improved repositioning attacks like leaping wide slash in wilds lol i haven't even switched to my secondary yet
(edit: jumping wide slash was in world but i was referring to the higher mvs specifically)
