I share a similar story, I also started with Bcom Financial Accounting, I failed hard lol. Switched to BSC Computer Science, unfortunately I had to drop out because of Financial difficulties in my third year, I worked odd jobs, and then got a learnership and landed a job in Telecommunications but sadly I got retrenched earlier this year, so i decided to go back my roots in terms of coding and now I am freelancing, I landed my first client in July, so I'm pushing that and one day I will build my own systems
There is a huge different between luck and hard work. He created the opportunity for himself
I went to school with him... Unfortunately he failed the 11th grade he used to tell me he wished he went down the same career path as me because he wasn't happy at that time funny how I am looking for a job still and he turned things around for himself
There's no luck. The only luck is that which you create. Luck is when opportunity meets preparedness. Well done Vusi. Thank you Boni for the ๐ฅ chats
I can point out a thing or two about Vusi. He is very sharp minded and yet so chilled. Even how he explained his journey, it sounds so far fetched but you can tell once he put his mind into something, he ensures to excute to the best of his ability, from Bcom at Udaps till now you can tell his in spirit that he always wanted to do more. Lastly his eloquence is second to none which is a big part in selling yourself to potential employers sometimes more important that your technical skills which you can always improve. I am inspired and well done chap๐
This channel is so heartwarming, as someone who is just starting to build a career for myself, it helps to hear stories that prove it's possible, no matter what challenges you may face along the way
Accounting did me dirty, failed accounting 2 and left it, and picked up Information System as a major with Management, and now I am a Senior Data Scientist. I have never been so proud of failing in life๐ because right now, i am so happy there by the data world
Courageous young man - big-ups for him. Great contribution to the country Boni๐๐๐๐๐
Dedication and enthusiastic. Taking every opportunity that opens for is a good thing. Not luck
I have been watching these interviews, I noticed in Tech it's not mostly about the certificate but about what you can do. Most of these guys get jobs before they finish their studies, bootcamps and learnerships. We are really sleeping on the tech industry ๐ฎ
yah noh some people are very lucky out there. It is a very nice inspiring story and journey he went through, hope his future will be more brighter than it is now. I'm also into the basics of HTML and CSS, getting to understand the layouts. So it's a well done to him.
Facts , Gods plan always prevails ๐โ
I've be waiting for this one... I was worried you cancelled it sisi. Give thanks
I villager elikhuluโค๏ธโ๐ฅ๐ญI watched every ad
A word๐โค๏ธโค๏ธ
i really don't want to discredit his journey but it's luck for sure. i'm struggling to find a job in the tech industry whilst holding a diploma in IT which is disheartening. i realised that in order for me to enter it's either i join these bootcamps or go for another degree maybe a bsc in IT / comp sci which seems like it's the only way now. the rejections i've gotten during the 2 years of applying, crazy! i have a list of every company i've applied for
One day im also gonna come and tell my story...๐
I'm inspired yaz
I have story similar to his, except that I am still yet to realise my dream job. How can one get in touch with this gentleman? Interesting episode, so inspiring.
