It's 2 am, I can't sleep and for some reason YouTube suggested this video. I never, and I mean never, comment on videos but I'm lying on my bed with tears in my eyes. I am in disbelief of how similar our lives are. It's been 5 months I'm on the lookout for a new job after being laid off and what you described in the video is pretty much my life. Thank you for sharing your experience, I now know I'm not alone. Good luck with your interviews and I might not know you but sending hugs and I'll be rooting for you. Stay strong buddy, you are doing great and remember, you are not alone.
The cinematography is top notch.
One more thing....I have never seen someone making this level of quality content... everything is so perfect....not even youtubers with million subs make such quality videos. You are made for this buddy...your video quality is like a Netflix series or documentary. Not only video quality your way of telling everything, voice everything is perfect broo
I'm a very new viewer but I can tell from your passion that you are more than worthy of a role in tech. I had application issues too in my sector... interviews are brutal right now, it's all very competitive and also unprofessional in a sense that corps feel it's appropriate to put applicants through so many rounds, so many rejections and/or ghostings. It's tough but I can't recommend enough just taking a part-time role in anything (be it as a barista, freelance teacher, retail etc) to keep you going both financially and to give you a morale boost, to remind you that you are worthy and competent. You could meet new people and make connections too. Constant rejection after rejection takes its toll mentally. I hope you get there my friend, best of luck. â€
One of the worst feelings is getting rejected after interviews with the vague explanation that they chose someone more senior. But honestly, I can usually tell within a few minutes of talking to someone from the team whether the role is a good fit or not. Interviews are a great opportunity to reverse interview them, avoid feeling like you're just being grilled or put in an inferior position. I also make a point to flip questions that clearly shouldn't be asked if they had properly reviewed your CV or GitHub profile, it says a lot when they overlook what's already demonstrated.
We are looking for a REACT dev for a few months to take over an app that the og creator had to bounce on. If you are interested let me know (Im the lead, no 5 interviews needed I've watched your channel lol)
it's been 8 months for me. I just found myself a hobby project to write code. there are 200+ entries in my spreadsheet, most red. most with "decided to not move forward" result I'm kinda enjoying the freedom and lately finding myself pouring more time into my game and it keeps me sane
Can't wait for the finale of your miniseries, soon pls đ
I'm in the same situation and this is so relatable. Man I found myself going through the same thought process as you "keeping" two promising positions, doing the interviewies and becoming more and more frustrated. You are not alone.
Still sending love & blessings your way big bro. Been unemployed 8 months before and I feel you 100%. Hopefully this transcends into a career in filmmaking/story telling for you. Youâve got the talent!
It's hard! I don't know why. Crushing interviews, crushing technical assessments but still not landing the job. I start to question my self. But have to keep going.
Off the wall production quality. I don't know what video editing pays, but you appear to be qualified for that job too
Man i got laid off recently, then stumbled across your vids. I've managed to find a job within a month, hope it gets better for you too. Take care!
Wishing you luck for the interviews! Iâve been there before, over 6 months off was tough. You just gonna keep plugging away, dont lose the spirit, and donât take things too personally. Easier said than done though!
There is hard times now. I have a job, but I always have a worm in mind "what if they will fire me tomorrow?". This enforces to do build something extra to have income. However, problem is you cannot do 2 in the same time with good quality. So this is my main problem now :D
weâre in different part of the world, living different lifes, but sharing the same struggle. Thatâs crazy. Keep goong my g
This is the best cinematography I've ever seen from a YouTuber.
I can relate to this in a deep level, multiple rounds of interviews just to get to the final round and get rejected...
Bravo jepi, ta chaĂźne est super bien faite !
