@8tymology

I hope they bear with it. I would like to get some dispatches from the town, though; gotta get all the grizzly details from the torchbearers of liberty instead of their polar opposite, politically-speaking.

People: Want to be left alone.
Tyrants: "We disagree."

@mrgeringer

You know what, that's just really great. One can support their political views or not - thing is: they are doing what they love, and they are HURTING NOBODY while doing that. I think it's just great. People believing in something but not wanting to convience others violently of their view.

@chrisbesserer

Don't tread on me!

@derekdavis6508

don't wear a seat belt, live off grid in a tiny house, collect your own food water, tote your pistol or rifle, smoke a doob, drink a beer if you want, no victim no crime, just do your own thing, don't worry about what everyone esle is doing or what's politicaly correct.

@SL2797

NO. Because there is NO such thing as an "utopia".

BUT, will it become the libertarian homeland of the world?

Personally, I'm a far-right Conservative Christian. However, politically, I'm a Minarchist Libertarian. I believe the government's only legitimate role is to protect the people and their rights and punish criminals who infringe on other people's rights. They do this through law enforcement, a judicial system, and a military. Everything else should be left to the people to decide for themselves. I do not believe government should be involved in education, health care, welfare, marriage, or any other illegitimate role it has undertaken. People should be free to do what they want so long as they don't infringe on that same right of others. Don't murder, rape, steal, commit fraud, etc. and the government has no business getting involved in your life. There is law enforcement and a judicial system to protect against these few crimes domestically. There is a military to protect the people from foreign threats. I think we should eliminate all illegitimate roles our government has undertaken, use that extra tax revenue to pay off the national debt, and then eliminate all taxes and replace them with a single flat consumption tax that is the same for everyone. This single tax would be used for legitimate government.
