Honestly, I'd rather pay more money for adblock than for yt premium
The worst part is this is against their agreement with the W3 Consortium. I've been reminding Google of this every time I "report the issue".
I feel like there will be extensions that will get around this soon
Opera Adblocker is OP, still works with like 95% effectiveness
I got hit with an email stating that I'm no longer apart of YouTube programmes because of a violation with Community Guidelines, When I've fone nothing wrong. I'm pretty sure that I've been hit just for using an adblocker. This is sick
firefox + ublock origin works fine, only sometimes it triggers but updating the filters fixes it
YouTube must be dumb if they think somebody won’t work around it
If youtube subscription was cheaper, I'd buy it. But, since it keeps going up, I'm not going to.
And like Sylvanas, THEY. JUST. KEEP. FAILING. Maybe some of execs should take a queue from her behavior atop ICC.
YouTube need face the business end of both a class action lawsuit as well as heavy government regulations. 👍
Adblocker will give the finger to youtube
If you’re wondering why YouTube is doing this, it’s shorts. It’s cannibalizing the more valuable watch time instead, it’s a big part of why revenue growth has stagnated the previous 3 quarters
Well, if they had a sustainable business model, this wouldn't be necessary.
I find that the Brave browser adblocker works just fine
Damn i love piracy
Maybe they shouldn’t make me pay roughly 20$ a month or 240$ a year
Also, chromes manifest v3 (the next update to the thing that handles extensions) will have reduced functions that are key to adblockers. So anything that uses chromium as a base will not support adblockers. A good alternative is firefox, which will implement v3 in a way that doesn't remove features.
Here in russia we have free adblock built in the YouTube itself
the bad thing is youtube premium isn't available in all regions, like here in morocco
