Late 90s early 2000s was the best era to be a teenager. We all 40 now
Here after watching machine gun kelly's cover. Needed to rinse my ears out. Feel much better now
This video is actually very profound. For those that don't understand the music video, it's the story of the circus freak that looks up to the aerials performers. He closes his eyes and imagines a world where he is wealthy and powerful, however, his limited knowledge of real life frustrates him even in his imagination, like when he is questioned by the other kid. This goes in hand to the lines "When you loose small mind you free your life / when you fee your life eternal prize" What that basically means is that our limited perception, like that kid's, holds us captive. If we are able to confront our perceptions of life we'll get the eternal prize, which is happiness.
This song get's better and better with age, like a fine wine.
Anyone in 2025 June ? SOAD Gratest Of All Time 🐐 Who agree this comment ?
The best of the best indeed <3
19 YEARS LATER!! this song is still as good as it ever was.
"When you lose small mind, you see it all" All of your individual problems, your money and power, your ego, is but an infinitesimal speck in the big picture of life. Nothing compares to its majesty. The way that massive riff drops in the bridge gave me that impression of being humbled in the presence of the living, breathing universe.
0:17 repeat button!
My daughter was born with asthma and would cry alot. This was the only song I could get to her to calm down or sleep! She still loves this song, 5yrs later!
The guitar and bass at 2:36 is absolutely iconic
i just can never get over how bloodchillingly soothing, unsettling but beautiful the last 30 seconds are. perfection
So glad to fulfill my longlife dream of watching them live here in Colombia, what a show, is a miracle to have them live. Thank destiny for having SOAD still playing songs for us.
This songs just moves my soul like no other. An ancient feeling, survival instinct kicks in, yet comforting
System Of A Down is truly one of the best bands that ever existed. They had it all. Aggression, Softness, Harmonies, Melodies, Rhythm, Meaning. Pure Power. Perfection. I wish I would have seen them live.
Had to cleanse my ears after hearing a cover of this so came back to listen to remind myself just how great this song is PLEASE COME BACK AND DO MORE
3:15 the fusion with the sitar is an absolute headbanger!!🤘🎼
that opening guitar riff is so haunting that it sends chills down my spine..and John Dolmayan is such an underrated drummer man he hits that snare and high hat with such precision it reminds me of John Bonham.
