Certainly, mistakes are our best teachers, even if they hurt π. Mistake 5 (the famous hell tutorial) made me lose a lot of time; until I understood that I should focus on 1-2 mentors and coding as much as I could during the day. I don't have your experience and, in fact, I'm just looking for my first job as a developer (I've never worked for someone; I was a pediatrician for 25 years and I have 4 years working as a freelancer, and just a few months developing websites as a freelancer), so the imposter syndrome is my biggest struggle at the moment.
