I know it’s not at all how it works but I like to imagine you drop your laptop and your laptop breaks into all its little modular pieces and makes the Lego breaking sound
The transparent bezel is cool and all but it looks weird when the rest of the laptop isn't transparent.
We need a fully transparent chassis for these, you can’t bring bezels and accessories being transparent without a transparent chassis to match
Okay, this has bothered me about EVERYONE in the tech review space. Never once does someone review the web cam correctly. It goes both ways "This webcam sucks" when it's one of the best I've seen or "This webcam is fantastic" when it looks like it's from 2010. I hear that you say it's "fine" but from what I can see, it's amazing. Skin tones, exposure, noise levels. It's STILL amazing and I don't think the qualcom ones are just SO good that it makes this suddenly "fine". We do not need better webcams than this for our teams meetings, it's almost perfect.
I dont care what Framework charges -- they are the only laptops I'll buy at this point. It turns out they're not only great from a technical standpoint, I also get warm and fuzzy feelings from the company. I didn't realize that was important to me.
0:24 Any bets on how long that insert will be relevant? My guess is by the end of this video, it will have changed again.
I'm still running my 11th gen framework 13, untouched from day 1 as far as upgrades go. Once it no longer suits my needs and I upgrade the internals, it'll have costed less than buying 2 full laptops. If they support it for another 4-5 years and I do that again, it'll have saved me even more money. Such a phenomenal idea
we need fully transparent chassis! bring back the G3 craze :D
Did I just watch an ad for the channel merch after an ad for the channel sponsor while watching an ad for a laptop
that transparency in both ways is one of many reasons why i love framework
You put the USB-A in one of the rear slots which, as the Framework AMD expansion card guide mentions, has a higher power consumption for USB-A specifically.
I hope framework eventually gets Ryzen on their new 12, or a touch/stylus hybrid screen/hinge for the 13. I really need to replace my laptop, but I can't give up my tablet hybrid digitizer.
Framework 12 video soon? Thats the one that has REALLY caught my eye as a tablet pc connoisseur 😊
Was hoping they would have been using the Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 CPU that has the radeon 8060s built-in. Perfectly understandable why they can't do that but that iGPU is insane.
I have a Framework with Intel 13th Gen and love it. Had previously a Dell XPS 15 7590 - never regretted the switch to the Framework. I have the older smaller battery and I am still very happy with the battery life of the framework laptop! And with their latest firmware updates the fan curve is now awesome on the framework. The last and only thing I am not happy with, are the scrappy speakers of the framework, otherwise it’s the best laptop I ever had.
Translucent plastic is by far the most compelling feature by far, but I think I'd need the whole shell to be translucent to really sell me on it
I just want a framework 12 video so bad! I'm so excited for a small 2 in 1 with pen support, pretty colors with swappable io and upgrades!
Dear LTT: it's probably easier for any tariff-changes to link on a webpage from yours than changing it in a pinned document on probably multiple videos at once, as changes as we know can change any minute... even second!
Have you guys attempted assembling a Framework purely from purchased parts? No pre-assembled or DIY, just scads of parts and the need to assemble them into something that should work
