guys I'm literally crying rn... was about to end it all last month after losing everything (job, relationship, savings). Found a book Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley the same day through a big podcast. The quantum field chapter hit me so hard I couldn't sleep. Started applying the frequency techniques and I'm not even joking - within 9 days my ex reached out, got offered my dream job (150k+), and my anxiety completely disappeared. I never share personal stuff but I'd feel guilty keeping this secret when so many are struggling. The way Eva explains manifestation through quantum physics is EVERYTHING. understanding the science will change your entire reality. I'm living proof 😭✨

@Rab1972D

Our daughter was suicidal for about 4 years. She took mushrooms from a friend unbeknownst to us… and we saw an immediate change in her - a complete transformation. She told us a couple months later and we found she was off her medication. That was almost three years ago and she is living a happy productive life. We can only attribute it to the effects of taking mushrooms. Incredible and something our society ought to be taking seriously to treat mental health disorders.

@markojokanovic349

Is professors world wide had only 10% of this charisma and approach to explaining science, God knows how fast we would progress on all the fields of interest.
This was one of the best episodes ever made.

@jasoncox9883

I can’t believe the quality we get for free from this channel. Hands-down, one of the best.

@plasticoflamingo2952

Gee. I can't imagine why the Government would be against people becoming all spiritual and unified... 👀

@bigbeaddles

the Rogan ep was great

@robertgrimes-jq2fq

Politicians treat us like mushrooms Kept in the dark and fed bullshit.

@PaulBuckner-c8h

Reminds me of what Chief Seattle said "Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves."

@Wendy-f2d

You were great on Joe Rogan! Watched the whole thing and loved it. The Why Files IS the very best creation on YouTube! Well done

@Footsoldier_from_Jersey

A really strong single mushroom trip, two years ago on New Year's Eve, cured my depression & anxiety and killed any cravings for alcohol or drugs. True story. Lost both my parents in seperate tragic deaths. Held a lot of pain. A lot. That mushroom experience changed my life. It was shocking when AJ said that remission rates are 70% with Psilocybin mushrooms compared to 30% with standard pharmaceuticals, but i absolutely believe it. I'm living proof. One single trip did more than any Wellbutrin, Lexapro... whatever that i tried ever did. I'm not on any of those anymore by the way. I really hope this gets taken more seriously as a form of therapy and becomes available to a much larger population. I'm really starting to think it could change the world. Thanks for this episode.

@katrinakelly-tg9nb

YOU FINALLY DID THIS EPISODE!!!! Please do one on the entities encountered by people after consuming DMT.

@iammaxhammer

I discovered TERENCE MCKENNA at 16 years old in 2007. Great times. Glad he is getting the recognition he deserves!

@jayebejer7431

Psilocybin mushrooms, micro and macro dosing over the past 6 months has cured me of. 25 year long alcohol addiction. Cold turkey. Almost died but made it. I don't even smoke now. Some thc and some Psilocybin is all one needs. Thanks AJ. Love the show and it was awesome to see you on The JRE ❤ love from New Orleans

@Senegal604

The why files is rated higher on IMDb than breaking bad!!! Let that sink in.

@garrettbourdas5884

We need a deep dive on this topic. At least 3 hours.

@bozapub3507

"you will be nothing without me, nothing!"
Hecklefish 😂

@cma3436

AJ please please expand it into a longer episode. There's plenty to go off, Dennis McKenna is still alive, Paul Stamets is an absolute genius and mushy, Paul tells a story when he was a child he had a debilitating stutter, and after his first megadose of psilocybin mushrooms his stutter was gone. Absolutely amazing. I encourage anybody reading this to go to YouTube and watch every Terence McKenna episode you can find. There's tons of them out there and trust me you will not regret it.

@TruthISeek

I’ve taken psilocybin mushrooms a few times, but my last trip was truly extraordinary, unlike anything I’d experienced before. I’ve always had a deep fear of death. It’s something that’s lingered in the back of my mind for years, and it’s only become more present as I’ve gotten older.

One night, I took what I thought was a low dose, but it turned out to be stronger than expected. I began hallucinating vividly. At one point, I experienced something completely surreal, I transformed into a woman. For context, I’m a man. But in that moment, I didn’t just imagine it, I felt what it was like to be a woman, both physically and emotionally. It was incredibly intense and mind blowing.

During that part of the trip, it felt like the mushrooms were communicating with me. They said, “You are now a woman. If you want, you can stay this way.” I remember responding with appreciation for the experience but expressing a desire to return to being myself. The mushrooms transformed me back, and almost immediately, my cat came and curled up next to me something he never does. It felt like he knew I was tripping and came to comfort me. As he purred, I could feel the vibrations throughout my entire body and mind. It was as if my consciousness became a tunnel, with my cat at the center, radiating peace. It’s hard to put into words, but it was one of the most profound and comforting feelings I’ve ever had.

Later in the trip, I asked the mushrooms about death and what happens afterward. In response, I felt myself become pure energy completely detached from my physical form. It was as if I was shown that all living beings eventually return to this energy source we came from. I no longer believe that death is the end. I now see it as a transition, the beginning of a greater journey. Some of us may return to life in a new form, while others will simply become energy again.

That said, psychedelics aren’t something to take lightly. I’ve also had two very difficult trips. One of them felt like I was being abducted by aliens,it was terrifying. But what helped me through it was constantly reminding myself, I’m not afraid of you. I’m in control. Eventually, that mindset helped release me from the grip of the experience.

So if you ever decide to explore psychedelics, be careful. Go in with intention, a calm setting, and remember that no matter how intense it gets, the experience is temporary, and you do have control.

@joaniedavis9492

AJ, I would LOVE it if you and your team made an expanded version of this episode! I miss the fuller format, but I get why you make these stripped versions. They’re easy to share with the uninitiated, too!
