For those who don't know, and from what I was able to grasp when I heard the song for the first time (HS). The lyrics involve a massacre that occurred in 1989 Tiananmen Square, China. It was a plaza where people gathered to protest for basic and educational rights. The army came through and killed hundreds of peaceful pro-democratic protesters. The Chinese government denied all talk of it and the media swept it as much as they could under the rug. They did try to keep people blind. Nowadays, many Chinese have not forgotten and still pay respects to those who died in that incident.

I can remember the first time I heard System of a Down on 98 rock , I was in shock of what I heard. My ears have never heard anything like them before. I wanted to hear more of them . When I saw the first video on MTV , I was completely blown away by this awesome band . I bought there cd’s and loved their music ever since. At 51 years old, omg I still enjoy their music to this day .
