I like how ruckus is genuinely proud of his brothersβ success. Seeing him smile warmly feels unnatural
"The re-vitiligo spread rapidly across my whole body, like that black symbiote that turned Topher Grace into Venom in Spider-Man part 3."
"I'M DYIN'!" 53 years later "I'M DYIN'!"
I actually felt proud of Uncle talking back to his dad at the end, that's how good this show was
The dad was awful but Ruckusβs mom was equally to blame, self hatred is a real problem
I love how Ruckus is super respectful to at least Robert.
Uncle Ruckus could've ended up so much worse if he didn't have such a good heart. Sure, he's racist, but he's proud of brother's accomplishments and loves them. He's a good friend to the Freemans (most of the time at least). Honestly a childhood that messed up would make anyone a little messed up.
You need to give this writing credit. Its a story with a lot of depth, but somehow can still pull off being stupidly funny at the same time.
3:26 Did I just catch you having fun?! π
If you think about ruckes mom was more responsible for him being racist
"I see u frolicking in the field and shit , why don't you frolicking yo ass to the store and get me beer " πππππππππππππ
11:28 Misterβs backstory is not an excuse, but it explains a lot.
Itβs kind of nice that uncle ruckus loves and respects his brothers and they also seem to love and respect him as well.
Ruckus is one of those few comedy characters I genuienly feel sorry for,he got dealt a bad hand, yet he still he has a good heart
Honestly, it's nice that Uncle Ruckus is friends with Mr. Freeeman. Without Freeman to keep Ruckus in check, it's possible that he would have ended up just as bad as his father and grandmother.
I like how at 0:46 , an orchestral version of Uncle Rucus's theme starts playing.
I really like how ruckus acts around his brothers, he seems genuinely happy and proud of them which is very unlike his usual character but still feels natural, and itβs just wholesome ig
1:37 The way this mf swiped the money so fast is killing me π€£
Poor Ruckus π’ His brothers at least weren't like his father
