I’m a freelancer in the music industry, and I keep running into the same issue with every freelance job: you have to bring in clients yourself. Unfortunately, we live in a capitalist world where you’re often forced to do uncomfortable things—many of which are outside your actual skill set—in order to find work. Personally, being active on social media and acting like a content creator feels like too much of a hassle. More than that, it goes against my values. When I see all these so-called design gurus and people constantly competing for attention, clients, and money, I can’t help but feel like we’ve hit rock bottom. It’s incredible what some are willing to do for a few bucks. That said, I also recognize the irony: if you’re not putting yourself out there, you’re leaving a huge amount of money on the table. I learned web design because I genuinely enjoyed the process—but I quickly realized that doing the actual design work is only about 30% of the job. As you mentioned in the video, to succeed in this space, you have to be a marketer, a salesperson, an accountant, and more.
100% correct, The main hurdle is finding clients and maintaining a consistent client flow every month
Great suggestions. Project management and saying no is always tough, especially w first few clients.
Yes, it's so valuable 👍
Sorry, but you aren't an introvert :) Because you are in the video. I'm an introvert and because of that I hate to make a content for social media :)
Seen the landing page, but couldn't find any clear pricing to join the Bont, how does that work?
Do you have any recommendations for books, videos, or courses where I can learn more about selling high-ticket services? 😁
