When I checked the comment section I was not expecting this level of encouragement 😭All of your stories are wonderful to read, I'm saving this video to come back here sometimes, thank you all

@sunnyfields1845

I am in an LDR! We met over Discord in mid to late 2019, began dating within a few weeks/months, he broke it off because COVID restrictions made meeting IRL seem impossible. The ending was actually good for us both, because I got into a car accident end of 2020 that made me VERY unstable; he also got into a deep depression sometime in 2020/2021 too. We both likely would have hurt the other in our depression. We began dating again late 2022/early 2023 and have been since. He's visited me 2-3 times, I've visited him twice. I live in Florida and he lives in Germany.

@thecatherd

My spouse and I met each other online in 2010, me in the UK and him in the USA. We knew for years that we wanted to be together but neither of us were in a position to move.
In November 2021 when COVID travel restrictions lifted enough, we finally decided to book that plane trip for me to visit them and they proposed on that same trip. We're now married and my therapist calls us the Cheesy Romance Movie couple. I feel truly blessed that we were able to make it work. :)

Me and my boyfriend have been long distance for 1 and a half years, I’m going no where I’m down bad. I think it takes a certain person to be able to handle ldrs. Me and my boyfriend don’t talk everyday and that’s not an issue to me, I just love him he’s what brings peace to my life. I’m happy it’s the best relationship I’ve ever had :3. He’s changed my life for the better he’s the only person who treated me like another human being and not a body or an object he owns. If he decides one day to leave that’s okay, there’s no changing what he’s done and the life he’s given me. All I want is to be able to see him grow, even if that doesn’t involve me. He’s a good guy and I’m really lucky

@johnnydwicked

It got me lol @1:45

@the_question

i was in a long distance relationship for 3 years, we met online playing gmod. We were still together 3 years later when she passed away. It was tough for sure, but i would never discount how worth it she was. Good luck out there everyone

@TeaCupTheUnoriginalNRG

@aizukekitsune

In a LDR atm, I live in Australia and he lives in America. We've been together for 5 years, I already call him my husband and I look forward to the day I can say it with him standing next to me ❤

@taylorhoward443

Our LDR time is approaching. We went from living down the street from each other in college, to 20 mins away, to 10 hours for (hopefully only) a year until I can transfer schools

Yo whipped out the Audition Online clip. Based af

@xoPeridotTea

I was in a LDR from MD to HI. My ex had to go live with his grandpa for a few months after his grandma passed so we went from living down the street from each other to being on opposite sides of the globe. Needless to say, it didn't go well and we broke up for a bit. When he finally got back (and we inevitably got back together), he no longer knew how to function in a normal close-proximity relationship. We broke up again, then did another LDR years later between MD and NY, and then perma-broke up. Then I had another LDR with someone else just one state over but that also fell apart. I was the only one really putting in the work for both relationships, which is sadly pretty common for LDRs (to be one-sided I mean). Ironically, I still kinda prefer them >.>"

@yvmao

been in an LDR for 2yrs of a 10yr LDFriendship, and every day is still as terrifying as the last--halfway around the world, both of us at a quarterlife crisis and about to get really busy in the next two years where meetup plans feel like a pipe dream🥲It helps to know that practically all the odds are stacked against us, and I didn't just suddenly become crazy when we slapped the label on. And, well, reading back on this makes it sound like there's no upsides at all, but I was never in it for the concept of a [romantic relationship] so much as the concept of being with them til the end of the line, so. Onwards we go, even if I have to fight god and myself (but mostly myself) to get there

@metaplays5055

I was in a LDR for almost 5 years tried my best to be there when I could it failed horrible but after coming out the otherside of it I feel a lot better about myself and now know I’m better then that and I want to strive for a closer relationship

@ThingsTimeForgot

I was in one for 4 years, and for the most part, it was awesome. We only got to see each other a year as I was in the UK, and she was in the US. Sadly, she got into a bad car crash, and i went over to look after for as long as i legally could, but things got fractured after that and she claim I was in love with the idea of living in American then I was with her. Which was absolute BS.

@KnightoSea

Unlike most crimes Grape is literally impossible to do on accident. That is a deliberate act to violate and hurt another human being purely for physical pleasure and an entire process. If you can go through the entire procedure of sexually assaulting someone and not stop at all shows how little you deserve forgiveness

@gun_gaming1666

I had an LDR, and it didn't work out we saw each other in person but she ended up being forced to move away, and all of a sudden that's when she wanted to date me. Not when we were in school having fun with hours of being together, but when she moved away.

And it sucked I saw her having fun and living her life with other people and I became depressed.

I was still very happy that she was happy but I knew then that she didn't need or care about me anymore.

She stopped responding or even reading my messages, she stopped having full conversations with me, and I started to notice a guy who kept popping in her videos, going to water parks, movies, etc.

But then a situation happened I found out that she was texting a couple of other guys by her posting a semi-nude photo in her story, meant for SOMEONE ELSE, and that made me snap and I just didn't trust her at all after that.

But the next time I tried to talk with her it took a month to see it and the next time two months that's when I started avoiding her too.

And our relationship fell apart and we broke up, and we told each other that if we date and it doesn't work out, we'll still be friends but haven't seen or heard anything about her in now almost a year.

I, really tried hard to keep my relationship going but now I'm alone with no one on my team.

But anyways LDRs FUCKING SUCK and I wish I never wasted my time.
