@commanderbreadcrumb975

My boy Doc be hittin those shots 😂

@MR2car

You might have missed the important detail, but as he mentionned, the MR73 is a quality revolver and was chosen because GIGN members are required to shoot it daily for training. That's the reason, it can eat rounds for days and not require parts change, because it's a rugged design from a quality manufacturer.

@nomadichippie1930

Criminal: “what are you going to do, arrest me?”
GIGN: “how fast is your draw?”

@lowlyaa0974

"Reliable sidearm that was accurate and reliable"

when you have to fill in space in a script so the video is 60 seconds

@Andy-AJC72

“They needed a reliable sidearm that was very accurate and reliable”. So not just reliable, double reliable.

@hurquestionmark

“They need a reliable sidearm, that was very accurate, reliable, with a good caliber, that is reliable, they also needed to mostly rely on their training, but they were very reliable.”

@ZacTheMusician

Imagine being a criminal in the 70's holding up a bank or something and you look out the window only to see some dude prone with a friggin Sniper Revolver. 😂😂

@majestic54

so basically… “make every shot count”

@Unix2816

Correction: Although the GIGN did experiment with using the .357 as the primary cartridge for the MR73, .38 Special was used instead as it had lower recoil than the .357, had a lower risk of overpenetration which is a key aspect in close quarters hostage rescue operations cause you dont want to kill the terrorist and then strike an unarmed civilian, and last the .38 was chosen since the specifications for the MR73 stated that the revolver must be capable of firing about 100 rounds per day without losing accuracy and the .38 due to it being less powerful than the .357 means that there is less wear and stress on the gun as well as less parts breakage.

@LEBRAWNNN

You forgot how they eventually got issued stim pistols after

@Sombermoss

A revolver with a sniper scope and a bipod is wild😭😭😭

@Envoiden

I like how the thought process was, "We will probably only get one shot out before things get messy, so let's make sure I only get to fire one shot"
