My theory is that Earth 2/Rhea is going through an apocalyptic disaster (world war or epidemic,...) and they don't want any interference or communication from Earth 1/Gaia. We've seen that the Americans on Earth 1 intended to find allies on Earth 2 to gain an advantage over the Soviet Union in the cold war (0:15) and it's possible that the people of Earth 2 don't want to get bogged down in a conflict that isn't theirs.

This analog horror has a lot of potential. I'm hoping the 'other' earth is just another human world not wanting to make contact with the first earth. There is a lot of questions and reasons as to why they don't want to. It could be something else. I hope you can do this story justice and make it truly original.
