I'm so glad someone broke down the ki sending in kakarot. I remember the first time I saw Vegeta's aura and I was genuinely a bit afraid. But then you reach Frieza, and he's just a completely different monster. It's kinda wild!

For the Mecha-Frieza power level bit, I'm guessing that the devs (probably a single dev) who decided to do that likely moved onto something else, QA flagged it as a bug and it was adjusted by one of the devs responsible for maintenance. It's such a specific reference that unless it was explicitly documented in the script, it's understandable that it would be seen as abnormal.

Man, I never played Kakarot but them visualizing the power level auras is so cool. It actually makes their reactions feel real. You definitely get an "Oh shit, we are screwed!" feel seeing these massive auras you have never seen before.

7:18 this moment reminds me of that scene in yu yu hakusho's dark tournament where a team of demons shot off their spirit energy and it radiated though the whole stadium but after toguro killed the rest of the teams save for one guy it turned out that the massive energy was coming from him alone and not his team. I really love the kakarot game not only is it a faithful retelling of the franchise it actually added some tidbit's to the lore like why saiyans don't have tails anymore
