Since Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks came out I've thought Maokai would make for another great Star Nemesis skin. The saplings he tosses and crushes in his emotes could very well be his familiar being tortured by his new monstruos form. And the somewhat cute yet creepy aspect would fit right with him. Anyway, I agree this one's adorable, with those cute alien meep saplings. My favorite of him so far. But yeah the face is weird, just being there.

How to instantly improve this skin: Make the arm an encased passenger seat for one of the aliens babies with its own lil idle animation inside.

I really like the Meowkai skin tho. Amazing all around, even if it doesn’t fit mao that much, throwing kittens is a 10/10

imagine instead of a face on the arm there was one of the little aliens in a glass dome like a little companion. Tho thats probably too similar to some of the space groove skins it feels like the skinlines are just a few corners from crossing anyway and riot could definitely connect their skinlines if they haven't already.

One skin that did that one side bulkyness is Blitz and Crank where the grab arm is piloted So maybe if the face was a green blob pilot it could work better?

Maokai is part of the champion cathegory of "My base concept is so well executed already that any skin can at best be just as good as my base design" My personal favorite is the Haunted Maokai just because I love the tomb sapling and corpse feet but I would be lying If I said it couldn't just be base Maokai. And despite all that Totem Maokai is still probably one of the worst skins that still hase the right to becalled a skin, The concept is so cool and yet the execution is such a big miss. Having this good of a splash art for such a bad skin should be a crime

While I agree with you, I also really like the odd body shape because even if it doesn't look so good it is something different and it might be nice for someone out there 🤔 It would be nice if the skins were better.

I struggled to decide on a fav Maokai skin. I think Festive was the one that got the most reaction out of me for heehee walking Christmas tree. But this skin is something else, I really like the alien he carries! I think I had decided Goalkeeper is my least favorite, but when I think about it. The grass grows from his back and like I see what they were going for there. Whereas, like, I don’t get Meowkai and it does not interest me. But there are probably people for whom Meowkai is their favorite. I agree with Skyen that he does not have an exceptionally bad skin.
