I can't stand it when parents act as if it's the landlords fault that the children won't have a home. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHILDREN, not the landlords and/or tax payers.

I was a juror on a rent to own case. The people moved in and never paid 1 cent. After a year the house was blown down in a tornado and the squaters were suing the homeowner to build them a new house and give it to them. The jury wanted to grant them a free house, but 1 police officer and i fought all afternoon and finally wore them down so they didnt get anything. Courts are a joke

Judge MESSED UP! If they are 'still there' in December, then Oct, Nov, Dec rent is also due, PLUS all unpaid electric bills.

Giving these people extra time to live in a house they have been squatting in because the mother of the kids starts crying at the end of the hearing was ridiculous. That judge just fell for the oldest trick in the book.

Never allow a verbal lease agreement only written. Every term should be documented in writing.

This case was so hard to listen to. Those people Never Paid One Penny & then the Judge with her "Oh Poor Children Bleeding Heart " gives them an extra 2 weeks. Defendants said, there's no water, no power & so many broken things, But it's ok to have their children there.?. These people are Squatters, Plain & Simple. I feel bad for the children because their parents suck! But that isn't the landlords Responsibility! Ug! They Really Have Some Nerve. 🤦

Squatters are dirty, messy, and broke. Breaking up peoples houses. Destroying owners life and people's lives. NO MONEY, NO HOUSE. YOU NEVER PAID RENT.

She said she received the 5 day notice on the 17th. Apparently, he didn't hear that part. Squatters need to stop making sorry excuses about the sink and etc. If it was so horrible, just move out.
