The Radeon team needs to stop acting like they're the Ryzen team.
I appreciate having the numbers up front.
As a wise man once said, you can always count on AMD to never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
" We test on games no one wants to play with cards no one wants to buy". I love this guy.
I am so glad that you didn't forget the AMD mountain bike.
The most egregious thing about the RAM is that they are using last gen GDDR6X instead of Nvidia's GDDR7 which means it is cheaper in BOM and thus, the 8GB version has really no reason to exist. Few years ago AMD played the extra VRAM over Nvidia and now it's Intel that play that game over both AMD and Nvidia.
Free tip for AMD: Fire your ENTIRE marketing team. They do nothing to help sales but cost money. If anything they're so bad at what they do it costs you sales. Just let a tech guy write a random tweet every now and then with truths rather than marketing spins. "We offer a 8GB model because it allows us to hit a lower cost target, if you are mostly into esports titles it will serve you well - otherwise just get the 16GB model". And next time just make it a prebuild/China internet cafe only model with a distinct name like "ES" or something for esports.
Friendly reminder that 8GB of VRAM costs between 10 to 15 dollars in today's market.
majority of gamers are forced to stay on 1080p , gpu prices are insane , average $800 for mid range gpu , wtf anything normal consumers can afford is low end 60 class gpus like rtx3060 , rtx4060 , rtx5060 , rx6600 , rx7600 , these are non TI or XT versions, these gpus are dogshit at 1080p , average 30 fps , buts thats all people can afford for underr $300, thats way too much for these anyways. then corporate idots like frank azor come out say that majority are at 1080p , lol , its cause we are forced to stay at that resolution . hate corporate idiots
All I wanted was the numbers and this delivered in the first minute
Amd making a 8gb version of this gpu should be a reminder to every fanboy out there that corporates aren’t your friends, hope people will understand that these corporates will take every chance to rip you off
Went to Microcenter this am. Got there about 1 hour before the store opened and was the first in line. When they unlocked the door there were only 6 of us. We all bought 9060xt 16GB. 5 of us bought for MSRP and one guy bought an OC version from Asus for more money. They had a lot of stock and a lot of MSRP cards with 16GB.
While I don't think that every AMD product you listed was terrible for everyone, Frank Azor needs to shut up. Really. He is hurting his company. you know - AMD - company I had close ties to from 1999 to 2011 and will try to defend. He is actively harming them. And how do they let him to this year after year. He should have someone supervising him at this point.
It keeps sickening me what people get employed (and keep being employed) in high positions for tons of money while competent ones often have to struggle to get by.
Man, I forgot that in June 2016 AMD released the Radeon RX 480 with 8 GB for USD 239. That’s 9 years ago now. 8GB and less than $250.
If a Raspberry Pi can include 16 GB of RAM, a consumer graphics card can do it too.
Frank Azor needs to just shut up. He's one of the worst marketing people I've ever seen. Though every time he tweets, he gets fanboys fighting, so maybe that's the plan.
Both companies fail big time. Nothing is even remotely interesting. Prices are horrible too.
Advanced Marketing Department has struck again.
