I'm from Russia I love Greece 🤩🇬🇷❤️

@FredRickenbacher

German here. The Greek language remains the most influential language in world history. Apart from the philosophers and poets you cite, think of the Septuagint and the New Testament. Greek shaped our world and no other language comes close.

@zhaw4821

Darkness without Greece

@HISTORYALLTHEWAY-h1j

As a Filipino 🇵🇭 indeed even the Spanish Wich is latin based nation is the one who conquered us, Greek presence is still big in our culture.

@Jinseual

Greece has a more amazing history than Turkish history because most of Turkish(Anatolian) history is Greek history. Under the Greeks and the Romans the culture and cities of Anatolia had flourished to it's greatest extent. The Turks only broke into Anatolia in the late 11th century and had been fighting an ongoing war to conquer the peninsula from the inhabitants for hundreds of years to intensive conflict to finally conquer it.

Maybe it's ok for the Turks in here to claim that Greek culture was "Turkish culture" because it came from Anatolia and the Turks now owns it. However, most American's today do separate Native American culture from American culture when the culture itself is distinctly Native American and not from people who settled there after 1500. The Turks does not seem to want to do this, instead, they call what is distinctly Greek or Anatolian culture Turkish even when they predate the Turkish invasions.

In fact, some of them tried to rewrite history in saying that the Turkish migration was largely peaceful despite the fact that it was one of the most brutal campaigns in human history. Goes to show how far the Turks tries to claim other people's identity, land and culture as their own.

@TheSturgian

For some reason Turkish people rage at everything lol. I am Turkish too and I can only lmao at them.

@YULDURUSTAN

I can agree as a turk(ic) myself. we came from the Altay Mountains, and and we did invent some good stuff but Greece is probably one of the pillars of world history along with Ancient Egypt or so
