I put it like this, JSON templates are just declarative configurations of what liquid files to use; unsimilar to config or section settings which are used by liquid files(and editor UI)

Hey Chris! Great content as always. One question, does it happen often for you to develop a theme from scratch? Or do you always use a starter? How would you advise to develop a fully custom theme? Slowly add new sections and components to the existing Dawn theme or start from scratch?
