Dude, one of our greatest prides as Canadians is that we are not the United States.
As an Albertan Canadian, Denmark is now my new favoriate neighbour. I would rather die than be annexed.
As a Canadian, I would WAAAAY rather become allied with the EU, then be taken over by the americans
To a large extent, it doesn't even matter if Trump is "joking" or just testing the waters when he says things like this. As the president of the USA, he sets the tone. And now thinking about annexing neighbours has entered the dialogue and it's here to stay. It is deeply troubling.
Canadian here, would take EU over American any day of the week.
Meanwhile Canada and Mexico are helping to combat the fires in Los Angeles. Thank you both for being way better neighbors than we deserve.
As an American, I urge Canada to find a better friend.
As a Canadian F*ck no to join the USA I would much rather join the EU
To join the EU the requirement is to own land in Europe, Canada is not a part of Europe, however Canada technically owns Vimmy Ridge because the French gifted to them after WW1, so Canada technically owns land in Europe meaning they fit the requirement to join the EU (I think)
As a German, I also warmly invite Canada to the EU 🇨🇦🇪🇺
When your best friends constantly starts saying he’ll beat you up for your lunch money… it might be time to switch friends.
as a canadian, i'd rather be european than american
Canada annexing USA has more support than USA annexing Canada lol
Canada deserves a better friend
It made me disproptionally sad that the UK isn't in the EU map.
1:41 As a brit who knew Brexit was a stupid idea from the start, I find it so painful seeing maps of the EU without the UK anymore.
Manitoba and Quebec can't even agree on breakfast, and Trump thinks we're gonna fit tidly into one state?
Solution: Canada pulls a uno reverse card and the USA becomes the United States of Canada
As an American, I'm not offended. I heard about the news when my boss laughed the hardest I've ever seen her laugh (she read about Trump wanting to annex Canada).
