I know this video is older, and the web tools APIs are now deprecated, but usps restrictions are specific to mailing and shipping with USPS services. “The Address Validation APIs can be used in conjunction with USPS SHIPPING OR MAILING SERVICES ONLY. The Address API must only be used on an individual transactional basis, i.e. not batch processing or cleansing of a database, but as a customer enters the information into a form on a website. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions can result in termination of USPS API access without prior notice.”
You gloss over the process of registering with USPS to get an account name. The USPS account name apparently is required to successfully run the sample file. The process of signing up with USPS calls for some parameters that I do not understand. It would be very helpful to delineate what each of the "non-obvious" fields in the USPS registration form refer to. For example, "URL of your website". If I don't have a company website, what should be supplied in this field? Thanks for this presentation.
