Encountered this test for the first time today. It caught me off guard, but I made it through 43 questions and felt confident in most of my answers. I thought I failed because I didn't complete all 50.

You only have a few seconds to answer each question, however they have some trick questions on there that they know take damn near the whole test time to answer.

If employers would just use good, common sense, they wouldn't need gimmicks like this. They wouldn't need to waste their time and job applicants' time with tests over subject matter that has nothing to do with anything anyone does in real life.

You have 14 seconds to answer each question. 24 seconds if you’re aiming for a 30. Skip any question that takes too long to read

The test does nothing to incorporate adjustments for age and other factors. Is does not value immense experience and so penalizes experience (a highly tenured CEO) in favor of a good test taker (recent MBA age 30 years). For the "victims", Wlic is only a failure mode not a success mode. As a senior tech exec, I have never seen one, not one test of any type that is a particularly good indicator as compared to thorough interviews and a person's success. I have hired thousands and thousands. Let's put it this way. If Tom Brady were to have to do the combine, he would fail. That is Wlic. It would never, ever reveal a Tom Brady as the GOAT. It would only serve to fail out greatness in favor of speed test results. Use a successful track record doing a job as the measure as to whether a person can and will do the job well. Tests like this only serve to build an eco-system of dependency by poor recruiters, hiring execs, and an eco system for candidates that are panicked to figure out how to run the traps. This is a crutch, discriminates, and is a cruel thing to do to someone that has produced 16-18 years of superb academic experience and 20+ years of superb professional experience.

You said to skip question? Would it be better to answer wrong than to skip? Especially if you can narrow the correct answer down to 2 questions.

Question: i did a sample wonderlic online and I had 12 mins to do 50 questions. I could only get to question 21 in that time. So my question is this: Should i take my time and do as many as i can OR should i only spend 15 to 20 seconds or so on each question and aim to complete all 50 questions???

So you just answer all the questions that are easy for you, and skip the hard ones.
