@AppleExplained

I apologize for my voice, I'm currently sick but still wanted to upload for you guys 🤧 – Greg

@Oscar-wj8hc

The glowing apple was probably the most iconic detail they could put on their devices

@jasonlast7091

The way that is so softly turns on as you raise the screen up; God I will miss this tiny aesthetic.

@jasminep1084

honestly the glowing logo is the only thing i miss from my old pro. i'm happy that i have a new computer but it was a cool feature

@the.violin.noobie

What I really miss are the battery level on the side of the mac (that worked even if the macbook was turned off) and the little light that told us if it was on or off. Now with the new macbooks that turn on when you open it, or press any key, you cannot know if it is turned off or on if you don't... turn it on. Really it's a huge fail when it was so good before!

@CubeartAnimations

Notice how these videos go straight to the point and don’t drag the topic out for 10 minutes, subscribed

@LosDefinit

I like how the 3rd reason was they don’t have to impress you anymore lmao

@iGotAux

If Steve was still with us, he’d want Apple to fix the screen issue without taking out the apple light

@timothymalaspino5549

The glowing apple was so iconic. I’ve had macs all my life but the first MacBook I ever bought was the 2017 MacBook. It was good but too small and had too little space on it. I wanted something bigger and better so I ended up going from a 2017 MacBook to a 2015 MacBook Pro. One for the 15.4 inch screen plus more space but the glowing apple is by far my favorite thing on it. Can’t believe they got rid of it. I hope they bring it back eventually.

@Pandurz

My MacBook Pro from 2013 has been so good to me, I haven’t had the need to look at newer models. I didn’t realize they got rid of the glowing logo, that’s so sad. Mine still feels like it’s super lux looking to me because of it. Steve Jobs really knew how to make tech subtly beautiful and enticing to look at, I’m glad I got to enjoy that era.

@StereotypedMe_

Glowing logo will have a comeback next decade, history repeats

@InfraReddest

The glowing apple logo actually had a functional upside as well. When the backlight on the screen would inevitably go out, you could shine a light through the apple logo to see if the screen was actually on, thus confirming the issue of a bad backlight.

@aegonthedragon7303

Really miss that glowing light, just gave the machine so much more personality than a barely visible piece of metal. It even had an unintended function in telling if your backlight is blown by shining light through it.

@STLYRZA

This video will certainly catch the winds of the YouTube algorithm

@failed_physicist

The glowing apple logo was so iconic and I really liked the way it looked in the dark. I wish they kept it even it meant having a slightly thicker display.

@Loftikaz

used to customize the color of the apple logo by adding colored paper my customers loved it when they came for screen replacement

@sixfoursoul2538

Let’s be honest, the light was really cool tho, I remember walking into coffee shops in Hollywood seeing all the attractive people with their glowing macs wondering what screenplay they were working on! ( but in reality they probably were just watching YouTube videos) 😂

@ikramali8223

The glowing Apple logo was actually one of the best features of the design

@ivanandresroldanascanio4363

I remember when teachers at the U would turn the light off to show a presentation and you could see shining Apple logos around.

@lacosta0892

Maybe if Apple for once didn’t just focus on making the MacBook incredibly thin, they could have more unique features like this again
