@JawaPenguin16

This guys talent made me a fan of baseball again in alot of ways. I hope nothing but the best for him.

@thejuansshow6410

He needs 3-4 years of solid production maybe another cy young and that gets him in

@chrisstarr4523

Wish I could have those 10 minutes back

@chunkymonkey428

He should pull a smotlz and become one of the most dominant relievers in the game to length his career

@VenomousStare

Jake is a GOD and deserves the HoF. The rate stats say it all.

@Brah42

If unrealized potential was a voting category.

@colinmacheca2893

2 cy young’s and a top 3 talented pitcher ever. Should be a hall of famer imo

@brianb8155

1 more Cy Young and I think he has to make it. 3 Cy Young’s is legendary

@richdubC

I think relievers with his stats would make the hall so he should get in.

@peterhingle6587

In recent years, more and more voters are valuing players with HOF peaks but don't have the typical counting stats. Andruw Jones is on the doorstep of election, Utley did very solid his first year on the ballot, and going way back Koufax was an easier hall of famer. And more writers are citing their peaks as to why they're voting for them. And as far as peaks go, deGrom has one of the best. His career era is 2nd amongst modern SP. ERA+ is 5th all time (2nd among modern SP), WHIP is 2nd all time, FIP is 2nd among modern SP, Hits per 9 is 6th all time, K/9 is 3rd all time, and SO/W ratio is 1st all time. He'll never have the traditional counting stats, but he has put up some of the greatest rate stats of all time. I think by the time he lands on the ballot in the next 5-10 years even more voters will be valuing players with high peaks regardless of counting stats. Definitely not a slam dunk, but a much stronger case than people realize.

@andrewschuschu3499

Not a HoF player yet- on the doorstep. His recovery from injury will push him across the line or not.

@burzzz3009

The glazing of this dude is unprecedented.

@warlikebiscuit9113

Give two more elite years and i think hes in

@adrianramirez4137

He’s to injury prone

@decker528

Im gonna call him a longshot, no matter how good hes been. Hes a starting pitcher with less than 100 career wins. I get wins arent everything but he never even averages 6 innings a start and without going very far into a game, hes not gonna win many games and not be very valuable

@stormchaseref3628

I'm sorry, but he's not a hall of famer. Not because of who he is, who he plays for, how many championships he won, or any of that. I think his injuries stop him.

@adamlwkachillguy

He might if he keeps doing well after this. It’s the hall of fame not the hall of mid.

@zach7193

He was compared to Seaver. He's an ace of a pitcher. Pitchers who have arm surgery tend to win more games after treatment. They're competitive in their 30s than when they started. Studies show that. He might have a chance at the Hall. If surgery is a success. Feel like it's the same injury as Strasburg.

@thejuansshow6410

Honestly wouldn’t be fair to other guys who have more counting numbers that’s why the hof needs a set of numbers and accolades to be considered.

@ThatDudeMac

He will not make the Hall of Fame.
