I’ve watched countless videos on this and your explanation is the clearest by far. Thank you for putting it into digestible chunks that you can practice.
This is the best explanation I've seen on the modern forehand and answers some of the questions less covered, especially the intentional forehand stretch! Love it!
I’ve seen your channel before Kevin and I’ve been a USPTR Pro since 1979. I’m now 77 years old and retired since 15 years ago but I’m glad someone like you is teaching like I did. LOL. To add to your keyword…supination; allows us to pull as our muscles are best used for pulling. Kudos bro. I’m glad you are serving the new enthusiasts properly. This same keyword is best used in the golf swing too and it’s only now being used by teaching pros but it goes as far back as Ben Hogan.
This channel is gold. No nonsense, no magic, just pure smart game.
This is the best video on the correct way to use your body on the forehand. So comprehensive, thank you Kevin.
Kevin is a legend, dude's grind to help people never stops...thank you for repping the Mid-Atlantic in such a positive light, KG!
I have coached for a long time. But I have just sat up and realised you are my teacher!
Best step by step explanation of this "newer" technique I could understand. Good biomechanical display to follow your instructions
This is right out of the Mark Kovacs playbook and very well described! Thank you. Would love to work on this in person one day!
Kevin, you do a superb job of really simplifying the proper forehand technique. As you point out, it is all about relaxing enough to get that pre-stretch/supination in the hand/wrist/forearm as you succinctly demonstrate. Then as you say, one either throws the racquet head more through or up, depending on the spin and speed one wants.
Just started to play tennis and i was struggling much more with my forehand than my backhand or even the service. After this super lesson i got it! thank you for that
Great lesson. Another way to define the looseness required to get proper supination on the forehand is maybe that one needs to be able to feel the weight of the racquet head in preparation on the forehand. If one is too tight or firm in the grip, one certainly cannot feel the weight of the racquet head.
This is a GOLD MINE! Much appreciated.
Spectacular! Applying the information in this presentation has increased my forehand ball speed wonderfully! Thanks!
A lot of nuance in this video, bravo!
Found this really helpful and implemented some of the tips into my current forehand
Kevin, Thank you so much for ur teaching, ❤follower from the Pacific
you are very generous with your knowledge. Thank you!!
2.30 minutes of preamble 😮💨 . .. the rest of the video is actually well worth it! Very well explained! Kudos
