Story 4 was particularly touching. Lots of kindness from the storyteller toward his charges, lots of respect, and the perfect attitude: healthy skepticism. It's neither wise nor intelligent to dismiss legends out of hand, any more than it is to accept them uncritically. There's always something behind the stranger stories, even if it's not what people thought it was. Some "ghost" stories turn out to be caused by natural sources like carbon monoxide. Considering how we keep discovering new species and phenomena, there's every reason to take this seriously. It may not be death pixies or will o' the wisps, but it could be a deadly bioluminescent gas or something crazy like that.
