You say sophisticated I say corrupt
It's the same reason there are few restrictions on the food industry, especially fast food, as well as big pharma. Particularly in the US. Corporations buy politicians like they're collecting Pokémon cards
We need many more doctors like you to stand up and inform the world how dangerous these products are. I find it appealing that our government doesn’t require a warning label on alcohol, “A known and proven carcinogen”
Most adults drink so nobody wants to tell everyone that alcohol is dangerous. People will defend their right to drink to excess. Even now, when you refuse a drink there are people who need to know why because they want validation for taking their drug of choice.
That's Capitalism baby! Money always wins.
Here in Canada I understand that research into micro dosing after an initial loading dose has been research conducted recently. I often understand that bringing in outside evidence based research maybe of use in getting funding for research in Britain.
Keep speaking on these things, with enough awareness we can make such positive changes
It's aggravating because alcohol can be consumed responsibly, but it's otherwise a major danger not to the consumer but the people around them. In my opinion the drug that should require a license is alcohol. If you drink and drive, you don't lose your drivers, you lose your buy-consume privileges.
I would suggest the pharmaceutical industry is a bigger player in the suppression of psychedelics when it comes to medical research. Theres huge money in SSRIs, MAOIs, etc used for treating mental health and addictions.
This is why we love Dr.Karan!
I’ve done a lot of drugs & nothing has made me feel more shitty than alcohol. I can’t believe it’s not stigmatized the same way cigarettes are lol.
It's also that these industries are already matured and employed a lot of ppl. It's easier to regulate and ban new substances than to ban one current industry and have no alternatives for the job loses.
Alcohol also does not expand your mind. Most so not become "better people" after drinking alcohol. But most people who do psychedelics even once feel changed for the better, having new outlooks (dismantling outlooks) on the unethical societies we live in . Can't have too many of us productive slaves to capitalism waking up and wanting to change the world.
A liquor bottle cost $20 in Sweden, the same bottle cost $30 in Norway... (Higher alcohol tax.)
STOP THE DOUBLE STANDARDS! LEGALIZE PSYCHEDELICS🍄
We must not also forget that public perception has a bigger role to play in all of this than most realize
My hubby and I stopped drinking three years ago. Not because of it being an issue of alcoholism but because we noticed a culture around it that was no longer fitting our morals. And the money waste was another point to stop. It saves money and brain cells.
I'm happy to say that drugs like heroine, cocaine, marijuana etc is illegal in Singapore and same goes for vaping. Tobacco isn't banned but the amount of nicotine in the cigarettes sold here is less than other countries if I'm not wrong. Alcohol also isn't banned but is more expensive than most other countries as taxes on alcohol is pretty high. Cigarettes are also pricier than other countries.
Going cold turkey with alcohol is able to kill you.weed does not(from what ive ehard please correct me if I'm wrong)
