"He was here just a minute ago" -Carlin, when asked what he wanted on his headstone. RIP
George was more than a comedian. He had genius levels of perception and wit. One of a kind.
This man was a national treasure. His ability to observe the human condition and express his thoughts through creative, entertaining, and thought-provoking words was second to none. Absolute genius.
As an Englishman, this man’s like will never be seen again. He truely was one in several billion.
He did his entire bit without swearing and it still hit hard. This was a once in a lifetime philosopher.
If George were here today he would be having a field day. RIP, George, His comedy was always infused with truth.
Carlin was a satirist, a speaker of truth, and someone I only saw on late night TV during the 1970s and 1980s. Speak truth to power!
Two things we will never have again in life: George Carlin and his intelligence and pure honesty. RIP champ 💔
20+ years later and every word is still relevant, if not prophetic.
George Carlin was, is, and always will be, a national treasure.
George Carlin is 62 here, the amount of knowledge, the wisdom while having to watch our self righteous bias, egos, and desire acting nobel leaders in public to serve public intention is taking a huge toll on him. One of true enlightened deity of our time. Thank you for showing us awareness and lights🙏
I totally miss this man. We need more truth with humor.
My god. Almost 24 years later and this all still holds so true
This man could wield the English language like a weapon. The world can truly benefit from the mind of George Carlin
Pure genius. Started listening to him in the early '70s and never stopped. RIP, George.
He had a way of being funny and very honest at the same time. Never be another like him.
THE GOAT HIMSELF. His intelligence is incomparable to other comedians
"The problem is really with the politicians, the celebrities and the lawyers. And although their level of insincerity is astonishing it's still kind of fun to hear them talk." ~ George Carlin
George wasn't just a comedian he was a "wordsmith", social commentarian and philosopher. He pointed out our faults like no other and did it without animosity. He spoke from the heart and didn't "remember routines".
