this guys been looking at the charts for so much of his life he started explaining stuff with them
I lived about 1 - 2 miles from work so, I usually rode a bicycle to work. I went through two cheap bicycles and decided to buy a higher end bicycle. That bicycle was such a joy to ride, it made me happy. I figured the happiness would last a few weeks but, it lasted for months. Even after that, I still enjoyed it.
Am i the only one who is impressed with how easily he visualized deravitives of curves so well? So this is what a quant looks like.
Watched the complete video, and man, it's prolly the best self-help video i have ever seen, idk why, but it just is cuz it made sense throughout.
crazy how much this makes sense taking a mathematical approach
Homelessness as a hobby with a net worth of $4M :face-purple-crying:
YouTube recommended your channel and man I have to say, I agree with much what you say, we haves saved quite a bit too, 42 years old, and I have decided to take things easy, I work from home and I take my family out during summer and live in a different state, country for a month or two, just to live a fuller life. I don’t have the courage to do what you do, but someday I will when I can no longer be a corporate slave, keep it up, I subscribed.
I had a million dollars in 2000 and lost it all in 2001. The unhappiness lasted much, much longer than the happpy days did.
Moral of the story: be homeless so you can appreciate what you have now
That's awesome, you get to answer that age old question, "What would you do if you didn't have to work..." and we get to watch vicariously. I prefer the library as well vs cafes. It's one of the most underutilized resource
this was a dope video I can't believe I got recommended it with only 200 views. subbed!
Happiness is the derivative of getting what you want…….mind blown 🤯🤯🤯 thank you for the enlightenment 😇
Hey there, I was actually born and raised in Louisville, CO, and I was forcibly displaced by some family issues which sent me all around the country and eventually to the Los Angeles area. Dropped out of high school at 16 and all that. Worked some hard jobs for a couple of years while I got my GED and associates, and somehow found myself at UC Berkeley studying in the business program. I came across your videos videos and they've been supremely interesting and cause for introspection. Seeing the Louisville public library in the opening shot brought a flood of memories back, and I wanted to say thanks for sharing your stories and bringing back memories of a different time in my life.
I love how you used derivatives to explain this so well
Everything in this video is contingent on having 4 million net worth. All of the graphs would look different if he was grinding a normal retail job in the rat race without 4 million to fall back on.
I’ve had my Mtn bike and same snowboard for years now. They bring way more joy happiness to me than other new gear I tried out.
I’ve chased the swings like you suggested, all throughout my life. What I learned is what your happiness map showed, that we all revert to baseline. So imo the point of those experiences is to find what you’d be content with. For example, would you rather live in a cold or hot climate, own or rent your home, have a family or not, etc. Infinite choices really. But some are trade offs so that’s where the decisions come into play. And obviously you can change your mind whenever you want.
Here’s before 500 views this is gonna blow up!
i watched the video twice. one of the best i come across.
