That's actually the strategy that I learned from my first mentor as breakout trader at daily tf. The only downside is that you can be in a drawdown for awhile which is quite annoying but pf course its swing trade. Right now I perfected my entry and switched to pullback trade strategy.

You have been trading alot longer than me but tbf in my experience i completely agree with you because when the price breaks a trend line on the 4 hour or daily the breakouts are explosive and dont come back for the retest. I know your risking fake outs but if you miss the break out on the good ones you miss alot of profits.
