I love everything about this!! I just adopted an adult male Colombian rainbow boa that was nervous and defensive. I’ve done regular handling sessions, but never thought to have items laid out for him to explore. ABSOLUTELY trying this!!

Cool video! My boa has never liked to take baths, she hates it. Now i've started to put her in a bucket of water and the moist machine next to the shower when I take a shower. She is still not a fan of it but seems to be more okay with it than before. Making progress. I do the same thing as you do, but when its time for her to go to the terrarium i let her grab the object so she can bring it with her. If you go to a plant store and see they have dying plants you can haggle the price and see if they survive in the terrariums. Im watching all your videos, there's a lot of good stuff there! keep them coming!

This video helps me so much. In was using the grab and go technique and my mexican black kingsnake was being super nippy and defensive. I was getting anxious about handling him and i stopped for weeks. I realised my mistake and took the courage to get back at it and it's still a work in progress but it's getting better. He is more of a "leave me alone" individual but I have to be able to handle him because he is my responsability. People judged me so much and I felt so bad and undeserving..
