For YouTube content iPhone is kinda ok. If you want it to be standard you can go for Alpha 6400 , if you want to reach the top level just use Alpha A7 111s. Red is an overkill IMO

@KeithDaviesMusic

you never said that if you purchase a lens from Moment you will also need to buy their phone cover, otherwise the lens can't be attached to the phone.

@jlippencott1

When you say “depth of field”, you’re actually meaning shallow depth of field in a cinematic sense. Depth of field can be shallow or deep depending on aperture, focal length and distance to the subject(s). Just saying “depth of field” is not conveying the effect you mean.

I don't know what it is it's the RED colour science or something else but RED footage it's really fascinating.
some of the best tips i've heard in this video

@ParallaxOfficialTV

Amazing tutorial

@dirbyozz

Rolling shutter, tiny sensor, limited focal length options, image processing that you must pay to turn off. iPhones are always going to have their drawbacks for shooting video, so if you wanna get into cinema grade video for less than the cost of your iPhone, get a BlackMagic Production Camera 4k used. It has all ProRes options as well as CinemaDNG RAW, Blackmagic's colour science in 4:2:2, and most importantly, a standard EF mount and A GLOBAL SHUTTER all for $680-$800. Also, support your local camera store (and save yourself the big bucks) by getting used Prime lenses from them, and wait to get yourself a zoom. (And get used Samsung 850 PRO 1tb ssds and some spacers, any other SSD is too expensive for less storage)

@ArianTjr77

iPhone 13 brought a new level to shooting videos! You should definitely do a comparison video between Red X iPhone 13!

@venabow1

This video came in a perfect time! I recently uploaded my short film which was shot on an iPhone using filmic pro but I still think there’s room for improvement in the cinematography for my next short! So this helps out a lot!

@Collectors.KingdomTCG

@LU4E-d3r

Glad I'm not alone in the anti "iphones are just as good as dslrs if not better" club. Thanks for another great video!

@garyedwards778

Thank you for the Video. Question, which one would you recommend for 'Events Videography' in terms of 'capturing music, dancing, experiences between people and Editing it all after to create amazing music videos?' Would it be the Google Pixel, Iphone 15, Samsung, Sony or another smart phone? Creating music videos & film making is key here. Note; most of the events will be at night with various flashing lights. Look forward to your wisdom.

Many thanks,

Gary

@nmandakovic

Had fun modeling for you! Great video 👍👏

@GroovedMusic

you ca easily see the difference if you have an eye for it or just a nice monitor

@wmonger

True talents are within and not on the equipment you own. Perfect example is Zack Wyled (guitarist from Ozzy Osborne) playing Black Sabbath using a Hello Kitty guitar (video on YouTube)

@johnhoey4605

I have a 12 Max Pro—it’s a super cool phone, and I love it. Perhaps the best camera on a phone—-when comparing it to any other phone camera. But there’s absolutely no comparison between it and the 45 mpxls in my EOS R5 mirrorless camera. Perhaps there doesn’t seem to be much difference between phone and R5 pics when looking at postage stamp sized images; however, anything larger and the differences are beyond obvious.

@JosephWilsonProductions

I noticed right away, there is a digital distortion with the iphone that outlines the foreground objects and people.

@MiguelCarino

Which camera app is that you used on video?? Filmic pro looks very different...
