@tomosmital9427

I used to judge you a little with all the fancy upgrades all the time. But I just realized that as a kid you were in the same situation as most of us. Not allowed to have those things. Now you're fulfilling all those dreams and good for you! Go on! I'm all in

@jackmast6983

Evan, I have a stupid video idea that I think would be fun. Going back to your Walmart bike roots, but with a full build like you do on the channel now. Plenty of YouTubers are making videos about how the ozark trail is a great starter bike, but no one has done a dream build with one. It has all the modern standards and spacing, so I want to see kashima on a Walmart full suspension…

@sp192x

Evans signature bike. This is the bike you change everything on every week or two then sell it and start over.

@zc154

I really like the spec you chose for this build. Bang for the buck, this would be difficult to match or beat! Glad that you are able to move upward and onward in this mountain bike saga for all to see and be a part of! Keep up the great work Evan!

@ThunderStruckMTB

Hell of a build!! If there is a better value vs quality bike out there, I haven't seen it. Super smart component choices and I'm scratching my head to be critical on a single one of them.... Congrats brother!🔥👍

@shanerides

I ride a 2024 Santa Cruz Blur, live and ride in southern Michigan. My previous bike was a 2013 Jamis Dragon hard tail. I just started riding again in 2024, love your videos!

@JaredHoff

That’s awesome bro! I’m not a huge Ibis fan but I’m stoked for you and stoked on this build.

@Markbfoster

I ride a Polygon T8 that I’ve upgraded. It’s got full Fox factory suspension, Hunt wheels, and more. I’ve been pleased with it. Love the videos.

@kevinkgpk

Evan,,, I'm south of you in Beebe, Ar.. At the end of my block there is a cattle ranch with a 15 mile trail system. I ride a 2023 Superior XP919 29er Hardtail in a beautiful "Mazda" red !!! I love it !!! Got it from Bikesonline... Mods: Race Face pedals, 50mm hirise 780 bars, and some fatter Schwalbe tires. Being over 65 and retired, I usually ride everyday ...

@Fbjorn1867

Got myself a Marino custom steel frame (Reynolds tubing) for Christmas. Built it up into a short travel trail bike with 140/125 travel. It´s got full Fox performance elite suspension, Shimano 11 speed SLX/XT Drivetrain, Formula Cura brakes, PNW 200mm dropper, Syntace wheels with Onza Porcupine tires. I have pretty decent Enduro bike, too but since I got the Marino it´s been mostly collecting dust - apart from a bike park day or two. The steel bike is just so much fun and the custom geo worked out very well for me.

@Logroosee

I only got into mountain biking a year ago. Since then, I've taken my trusty steed everywhere. I ride a 2019 Commencal Meta HT that I built in my dorm room freshman year of college. It started off with a hodge podge build of the cheapest components I could find to get me on the trails for sub $1000. I succeeded, and built me a single speed ripper for around $900! Since then, I've been upgrading bits as I go. I first added a dropper post, that I got for $100 total (lever and 200mm dropper!!). I then added a used deore 12 speed drivetrain that I got on marketplace for $200. I then got a set of SRAM guide RS 4 pot brakes with frozen master cylinders for $25, which I fixed for free. All in, I learned so much scrounging around to find the cheapest, highest quality build I could. I even joined my downhill racing team, where I have now ridden some of the gnarliest and hard trails here in Colorado. Watching you actually got me into bikes during COVID, but I was never able to afford one. Thank you Evan, and I look forward to watching you progress on YouTube!!

@lov3r672

I ride a 2014 Rose Uncle Jimbo. I bought it last year as my first FS bike and ever since then ive loved every minute of riding on it. Ive had it for almost a year and the only thing i had to replace so far was the shock, since the original one was losing air. Its an extremely light and playful bike with a ton of travel, i love it!

@nick_kelv7209

I just got a Ripmo AF in Cinnabon bronze! Got some orange OneUp pedals and grips to go along with the orange accents on the bike!! I love my Ripmo!!!! It’s my first full suspension bike! I wanted an enduro but I wanted a trail bike that was easier to ride on all trails. This is right in the middle!

@iluvcammels

I love watching things get built too! I quite often do the same, watching cars get built and wondering how hard it'll be to actually do it! I'm riding a spectral at the moment as my main bike, slowly chucking on my favourite parts from my almost 6 years of riding experience now! Love watching you build bikes man, and seeing you get a really sweet custom bike that people can actually purchase! Wow, you must feel so pumped!

@TCraigLinz

Hey Evan, ans#1, yes I ride bikes, all kinds. But I also watch car rebuild vids while I'm not a mechanic. ans#2, I ride an enduro/park bike, a trail/down country bike, a fat bike on snow in the winter, and occasionally a road bike. That may sound entitled, but it took me a long time to get here. What I enjoy about your channel is that you are always looking for ways to improve your bikes. I can relate since I'm always looking to make mine "better" as well. And we all have a budget.

Anyway, I hope these answers help you and cheers on creating a great channel.

@MTBQandA

Congrats on the Exclusive Build! That's so awesome for you. You've come along way! Well deserved!

@carlucci1106

Evan, you have something here... in '97 (while you started bmx) I was starting my first bike shop job. Been wrenching and riding and selling (on/off in a professional capacity) ever since. But here's the thing-- while everyone is off their hinges talking about price hikes and tariffs, and doomed everything, you got a seriously nice bike there for under $2500. The cost of two tix to Hawaii, sans the room fee and the umbrella drinks! I mean, I used to routinely think about $2500 bikes in the 90s that weren't a fraction as capable as that IBIS. Are we just SPOILED NOW??? Is it crazy that this thing is considered a "budget full susser?'' I dunno, I have a baller XC hardtail, but that thing just looks sensible, and a lot of bike for the price (i want one, ha!). All you need to ride for years of enjoyment. Love the vids; you're always so postitive and seem like a seriously nice dude. Thanks.

@JFTM_

Hi Evan,
You’re the first MTB channel I’ve subbed to in maybe 6~ years. I used to be all in on MTB, then had a family and realised spending 3 months on crutches wasn’t smart.
I love the formatting and high production value of your videos - High/ Low S2 was great.
Thanks for getting me stoked on bikes again - maybe enough to buy and build a new one!

@SprSonik13

i’ve been riding since my BMX days in the 70s, and watch your vids because they show the passion and simple fun of mtn biking. I’ve been into high end bikes for a while now, and my primary is a 2023 Orbea Rise M10 w/Enve 730s and a Fox 38x170 (DSD Runt cartridge) with mostly XT build. Also ride a Yeti SB 5.5 and my all-time favorite bike, my 2018 Chameleon single speed mullet w/Factory 36x150 fork, RF Era cranks. All of my bikes, run XT brakes, Brooks saddles, PNW droppers, carbon bars, rev grips, HT pedals, VittorIa Agarro/Mazza tires, and a bunch of other cool bits and pieces.

@bridged13b

For a budget build, deore drivetrain is sweet, spend $50 or so to upgrade the shifter to xt and it'll feel just as good as any other shimano drivetrain.
I swapped out my deore cassette for xtr and felt absolutely no difference but it's slightly quieter when shifting
