@whitebocolate69

Bro they really had to end it on a playground💀

@ssj8273

This is also called "earthing", the lightning strikes on the rod and straight gets deposited in the ground without harming anybody or anything in it's way

@monster1176

Safely. Right next to the swing set lmao

@LaraibHasanKhan

Bro had the audacity to touch that pole in a storm

@George-vf7ss

Don't pee on that during a storm.

@ProfShyv

And to those actually searching for an explanation:

Electricity always searches for the path of lowest resistance. Everything is a conductor after a threshold is reached, that's why lighting can travel through air which is usually considered non-conductive

So when the electricity from lightning travels through the air and reaches the top of a building, it will prefer the path of lowest resistance created by the copper rods and channels and connect to ground

@berniemiller2992

You just told the copper thieves where it is!

@salehacademy2487

Copper strips must be installed using base insulators. In this case copper strips are directly fixed with walls using nails.

@srgplay4526

Rip if somone somehow touches that connection during lightning,😂

@StevenRockwood

The playground, the lightning system... what a place to put either one, anyway you look at it! ...

@calvinhelms4442

Lightning rods are not supposed to be hit by lightning. Sometimes they do but it’s not what they are for . They pull the ions out of the air to prevent lightning from happening. If you’re building does get hit the rods are not strong enough to stop damage to electrical or stop a fire

@Kashify_JEE

It's a lightning conducter discovered by Benjamin Franklin in 1752.

@mrbubz6942

How to prevent Spiderman from getting webs onto your building:

@_Astro_Gamer_

Imagine sitting right there during a thunderstorm and you just black out and when you wake up, you are in the hospital from a lightning strike😅😅

@P99-e2x

Imagine someone taking shelter from the strong wind and rain with an umbrella accidentally backing up to it when lightning strikes

@adimasguntur

No, it shouldn't be normally struck by lightning. It works by bleeding the ion in the sky to prevent lightning strike to happen in the first place.

@prateekmohapatra916

It is Franklin type lightening arrester. But it should connect to a GI strip which suppose to maintain a good gap with the surface through Epoxy Isolator

@prathameshkhaire2063

For many people who don't know even if it seems that it's very dangerous because it is near to playground but the lightning conductor's second end ends in a pot which is dug water and salt are added to the pit so the lightning could be transferred into the ground quickly

@Gargily

A Real Life Lighting Rod 💀

@FilipinoDoesMusicXD

Imagine accidently bumping that right in the middle of it getting struck by lightning.
