This goes even further than the tech world. Lock-picker McNally is being sued by the company proven locks for creating a video where he picked their locks.
As a real person who built a career on consumer trust and verified testing, I approve of this video 👍
There needs to be severe consequences to filing lawsuits without merit, and even more consequences if it's done for unethical reasons.
I will NEVER buy from a company who sues people for honest reviews.
Need a website to list companies that sue reviewers. so people can block everything related to that company. Adverts, promotions, everything.
remember to NOT give money to people who sue you for reviews
Google is not a search mechanism anymore, it is a marketing mechanism advertising. And that's the main reason I rarely click on any ad.
Amazon banned me from doing any reviews because of my honest reviews of some sponsored products that were of poor quality.
Things that should be illegal: - Weaponizing the legal system - Dropping someone from your insurance the moment they try to make a claim - Silencing legitimate negative reviews
The thing I hate the most about the DMCA takedown system on both Youtube and Google is that there is never any consequence for abusing the system. The people filing false claims are never punished, and even if they don't succeed in taking down a single video it doesn't matter, they just move onto the next one.
15:50 "who's pationate about air purifiers?" Technology connections: hold my Christmas lights
Thanks for exposing these kinds of tactics to teach the uninformed!🎉
Reviewers: Review companies’ products honestly Companies: Wait, that’s illegal.
Insurance company: we will protect you if you get sued. Insurance Company: we're dropping you because you got sued. That is another topic of BS that's just as egregious as the rest of the nonsense going on here.
Thank you, LTT for sticking up for the little guys!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS !!!
Excellent use of your platform guys. This is important, and I for one, feel like my eyes have been opened. And props to the reviewers for having the balls to work with LTT and their huge exposure, mid litigation, to get the story out. Best of luck to both channels!
Why do companies need to hide their bad side? They need to be... transparent?
OK, what’s absolutely insane is I bought that air purifier and left a horrible review because it literally was terrible and wants me to change the filter every five minutes. The filters are like 30 bucks. It’s just bad so when I saw that picture, I couldn’t believe it! They’re right I didn’t see their review, but it is a horrible air purifier. World gets smaller.
