Check your diet. Excessive sugar and carbs will cause dandruff
I’ve been washing my hair in cool/cold water for a year or so and it’s a game changer at least for myself. I didn’t have enough moisture in my hair and now it’s coming all together how I want it.
*also hard water affects the scalp too... Bought a shower filter because I was sick & tired of the itching, even right after wash day and WOW - it was literally the poor water quality (but I make sure I've got all the above ticked off too)
You could also be using oil and or grease on your scalp that causes malessezia overgrowth that makes your scalp itch; use oil only on the hair shaft not the scalp, thank Dr. Vanita Rattan for this information and all other skincare for skin of colour information
Yes i developed a scalp infection when I was relaxed 4 years ago. Its been so much better since i got treatment from dermatologist. I still suffer from it time to time. Ill be sure to use only cool water, moisturizing shampoo and 1 round of medicated shampoo. Thank you❤
Im so glad you mentioned volumizing shampoo! That stuff dries the scalp out and causes itchiness. Also, to help with the fungus that causes itchiness, after shampooing, rinse the scalp with a diluted solution of apple cider vinegar and massage.
I normally use head and shoulders itchy scalp shampoo and it works good and relieves your scalp and the ingredients are 100 percent dandruff protection. Most of head and shoulders work good for dandruff and dry scalp but head and shoulders are mostly for dandruff but if you do switch between head and shoulders with a different head and shoulders that is okay.
You helped my life so much. My scalp is the type that scabs up in 3 days. I started with that head n shoulder you recommended on my scalp with the regular shampoo on my length and ends then conditioned it. CHANGED👏MY👏WHOLE👏SCALP👏LIFE! I can now go a whole week between washes.
Tbh Vo5 may be cheap af but it works for me. The anti breakage formula is perfect for my relaxed hair. I using the anti breakage shampoo and then rinse thoroughly after that I use the matching conditioner and I leave it in for 15 min. OPTIONAL deep condition once a week space it out IF YOU NOTICE YOUR HAIR IS TOO MOISTURIZED
OR inflammation and an early sign of Alopecia. See a doctor. This was my experience and seeing a doctor stopped baldness. 😊
Get some moisturizing shampoo, massage it into your scalp, don't just slap it on ya head. Let it really get in there, no nails please just fingers. Rinse it with warm water, not hot. Also conditioner for your hair (read the instructions). Towel dry, put some essential oils on it, massage that in too. Boom your scalp will feel like heaven.
Double cleansing makes a huge difference in itch relief. Sweat, right now because it's hot makes me wash more often.
Linwood, you are so comical 😂. Water hot as the devil’s breath is hilarious.
Shampooing my hair twice and using a chelating shampoo every couple months has been a game changer for me.
Sir! Yes, YOU, Sir! I thank you for this video and I am not someone who posts. While I did not have a hair fungal situation I did use a fungal shampoo and my hair feels new! Thank you ever so much 🎉🙏🏽💕
… as someone who is obsessed with hot water showers. I think this is the reason why my hair is always itchy at night :sob:
I have been following you for a while. Thank you for sharing your struggles. With that being said you look Amazingly happy and at peace with yourself.❤❤❤❤
My scalp never itches until 3 days into an expensive salon retwist. Expensive shampoos, antifungal shampoos, none of them work. Using nothing but natural oils hasn't helped either, but the minute I wash that expensive style out of my hair, the itching stops.
I use the Giovanni 2 chic shampoo and conditioner once my hair pass the two inches mark it starts to itch like a mother specially the top and the back. Also if I oil my scalp I have to wash it the same day. So I have been getting buzz cuts since 2016.
