The fact that Adam Air openly refused to pay for the salvage operation of their plane is nothing short of mindboggling. Imagine being one of the family members of the victims and being told by the airline, "Sorry, we're not putting any money up to look for the crash." And that goes on for months on end.
Their slogan should have been "Fly is cheap, death is free". What a dumpster fire of an airline.
40:52 "The captain simply couldn't tell that his plane was falling from the sky..." Passengers: SCREAMING!
Terribly sad. My deceased bother and SIL both were airline mechanics. Over 30 years and over 35 years. Both proud to say no plane they ever worked on had any major issues, of course their company American Airlines made sure they had all they needed to do their jobs. May all RIP.
Due to series of accidents, the Indonesian Airline's (Adam air) operations were ceased in 2008
-AVIATE -Navigate -Communicate It’s incredible that neither pilot bothered to actually fly the plane. Crashes like this are so infuriating
my friend's dad was the co pilot of this flight, still remembers how she cried during class
And the worst feeling ever has to be sitting in that seat knowing your gonna die and there is 💯 NOTHING you can do.....
Imagine being a survivor of the ferry sinking. Everyone is super excited that you made it, just for families to find out you're survivors of a different accident. Of course, if i was a ferry survivor, id just be happy to be alive.
The salvage operation is remarkable. To find both boxes in all that water.
Thank you for this. My dad and brother are pilots and even I know that in the case of anything happening, your first duty is to fly the plane.
Thank you very much for fixing the Audio/Music sound level. This episode sounds great :)
If I was in the upper levels of Indonesian politics, Adam Air would have been put so f*****g far out of business they would've needed GPS to figure out where tf they were. They would've been begging for the opportunity to pay for the recovery efforts. I can't imagine they survived very long as a business after this situation. I can't even imagine how the owners and CEO(s) weren't prosecuted beyond recognition. • I'm actually only at the 34:31 mark of the video, right as they're talking about Adam Air's blatant neglect in fixing the inertial navigation system. So hopefully the next 15 minutes provides info that these lowlifes were taken out of humanity. Not too many of these videos really piss me off, but this one hit the spot. RIP to these folks on flight 574 🙏🏼
I love these mayday episodes ,and the man voice over in these mayday videos ,,, make the stories seem even more interested
I travel long haul fairly regularly and am occasionally tempted by the low prices of budget Asian airlines. Then I remember stories like these. Life is too precious and I’d rather pay extra or not fly at all.
Half my family was on this plane. I lost both my sisters and my father that day. This was the worst day of my life.
It doesn't get much worse than this. Adam Air take your money, shut you in a faulty aircraft with poorly trained crew who forget to aviate above all else. Then you get taken in the wrong direction until they fly downhill so fast your aircraft breaks apart mid-air to scatter you into little pieces, where the airline owners can't even be bothered looking for what went wrong.
I swear, you always give us what happens to the planes in each video at the very starting of each and every one of these videos. And we are still yet confused until we find what actually happened. I've only been watching your vids for 2 days! CRAZY!!
I've seen this one before on a different channel, but that's okay. I still sincerely appreciate that this and other episodes are being uploaded here. And again, thank you for ensuring that the audio is balanced.
