@HawkDriverJD

I travel for business and now fly on JSX once a week even though I have status on one of the major airlines. It’s so much easier and such a more pleasant experience then the nightmare that regular air travel has become.

@blank0504

This video is misleading. There IS security and JSX meets all TSA standards—the security is just more covert than overt. See those metal trash can looking things in the FBO—security check points. Just because you don’t have to take your shoes off doesn’t mean you aren’t screened. JSX is a TSA 12-5 compliant carrier.

@discostu3454

There are ABSOLUTELY security measures that you can’t see, and that’s exactly the point. Seamless.

@Paul_Lucas

Great review Scott - I am posting my JSX experience soon and I have to say I found it super-cool; ordering an Uber while sitting on the plane and being actually in it just 9 minutes after the wheels touch down is very rock and roll...! But it is true, this sort of stuff is a bit niche and doesn't appeal to everyone. I flew HOU-DAL and found the clientele to be...really varied. I was surprised there were several passengers younger than me there; I assumed it was a business shuttle, but it seems to appeal to a pretty wide cross-section - at least in Texas! I also had the benefit of travelling on the bespoke 1-1 config E145 which really is superb. Same woodgrain (sorry but I liked it, haha), mega extra space and it definitely did feel quite special!

@spifflespoof6951

There's a lot of security checks done in the background when you book and check into a flight - anything from payment info, travel patterns, previous journeys and tons more

@llibressal

I don't care about the lack of opulence. JSX solves the problem of TSA , cramped flights, screaming kids, etc.
(@security, let's be real, no one is trying to take out a 30 passenger semi-final private jet).

@BriaRowe

Lmfaooo him repeatedly commenting on the wood grain is taking me OUT

@ryanmatthew511

You were expecting more for a 45 minute flight then free alcohol and snacks ?

@jonwhitcomb263

Sorry that you had a bad experience with JSX, we flew JSX about a year ago to Vegas and had a great time. Would definitely recommend flying with them, obviously more pricey than the major carriers, but well worth it instead of being crammed in with other commuters. JMHO

@realjohnboxall

Looks great. I'd swap out catering for not having to deal with security or hordes of people.

@Ridejumpfly

I tried them out LAS-BUR. The plane I was one I had actually flown before when I was a pilot for American Eagle. That was the previously owner of the jet. I got a big laugh out of your security comments because while I waited in the lounge in LAS for my Uber to arrive, I overheard another passenger saying she loved JSX because she could bring her cocaine with her instead of having to find it when she got to Vegas…..

@SeraphusInferis

JSX is every regular airline before 1985.
This was every single normal flight. They stopped both free alcohol, drinks, and snacks in the 90s; and after Sep. 2001, they started the security measures.
Before then, EVERY flight was like this.
I flew a lot as a kid in the 70s-80s

@villzprincess

I flew JSX DAL/HOU 04/27-04/28 and although they did not have TSA, they did have a swab type and metal detector security of some sort. It was really nice and I enjoyed. Loved how I didn’t have to deal with crowded gates and people.

@rileyw3660

Glad to see this review! I'm on JSX at least 4 times a week between AUS-DAL for work, and I really love it. I can make it from my bedroom to the office in a hour and 45 minutes, where AA or WN would take me twice that at least. Also, at least out of DAL, you do walk through a somewhat hidden set of metal detectors.

@av8rKCM

Great video, but small thing. They're not terminals perse, it's a FBO...Fixed Based Operator. A lot of business jets, and even general aviation use them. Million Air, Atlantic Aviation, and Signature are some of the well known FBO's.

@Sentient_Goose

I was blown away by the JSX experience! It saves so much time, I absolutely love it. The whole experience is first class, from the security and check in, to the flight itself. Whenever I have the chance, it's JSX all the way!

@neillthornton1149

Well Scott, as a fellow San Diegan and pilot, if you ever truly want the private plane experience (small planes of course) we could do that! Also, before GPS, starting in 1946 there was (and still is) a system of radio beacons called VHF Omnidirectional Ranges (VOR) that help you navigate. If you have ever noticed the strange ice cream cone looking thing in the middle of Mission Bay, or the one up by Oceanside in the flower fields, that's a VOR. Before that, we had Non-Directional Radio Beacons, before that was Radio Ranges that had a very clever antenna system that told you through the beeps and boops you heard which way you were going, and before that, literally concrete arrows on the ground along the airway with rotating light beacons so pilots could go from one checkpoint to the next. Old navigation is really cool history in my eyes!

@essel23fly

JSX is not a private jet, it’s a airline service that uses the private jet way of flying. It’s basically premium economy on board with better service than the airlines. There is security at JSX, you just can’t see it. There’s inconspicuous detectors at the lounges that detect weapons and they also swipe bags for explosives. I think it’s an amazing product, you are literally flying no differently to Las Vegas than a Gulfstream parked next to you would be flying to Vegas too, all for a fraction of the cost to actual private flying.

@WHH15

This guy is the type to find negative in anything. Especially eating Soy Beans lol

@_w_w_

I have had the opportunities to fly business jet and private. Given the main motivation of saving time, most of their terminals are very sparse and simple, with none of that fluff in the commercial terminals. The whole point is not to linger. It's about arrive, check-in, board and leave.
