You are not a 'One Man Crew" - you are a "One Man Army"! Awesome job!
The slab turned out awesome! You're a beast, handling all that work solo.
Apparently my son's cat likes watching your videos. She sat and watched the first 15 min. Every time you threw dirt toward the camera, she looked at the floor.
You've got a good helper! Enjoy all the time you can as a daddy. My daughter grew up and moved out of the house this year. It goes faster than you can imagine.
As always, great project and work effort shown. As a Northerner, I'm still not sure you need to worry about the foundation moving in warmer climate like yours. Not a fan of disturbing a foundation even if a slab. A good solid solution would be to take that front 'footer' trench and add 4x 3' holes. Add a good amount of rebar and tie it too that rebar matrix and you'll have a pretty strong slide preventer. As it is now though, that rebar stuck into the slab will just pull out easily if it wants to move. Only other thing I would comment on is a lot of that old concrete used as filler looked rather large. So in a lot of places your new concrete looks pretty thin and will probably crack/craze there. At least it looked like it from here. Nit picks aside, its really nice to see you showing others that you don't need extensive experience or a garage full of fancy tools to tackle a lot of projects in an economical fashion. That and the semi-tutorial explanations sans crazy music/begging for Like/Subs is most likely why you're a 3M+ YT top flier.
Everything you make is a seminar and a lesson for everyone who watches your videos
“Don’t own a broom and in no rush to get one” 😂😂😂 you’re a boss dude. Love your content.
Just made my own 8x8 patio for a jacuzzi to sit on by myself. Your damn videos being condensed to 25 minutes made it not seem so bad lol. Then 4 hours later of shoveling hard clay I'm realizing you are superman lol
It's so strange Glenn as I've made slabs like this in the past when I was younger and fitter and mixed the concrete by hand which was a killer. I have no intention of ever doing this kind of thing again in my lifetime, yet there is something compelling about the production of your videos that I find extremely cathartic to watch and never once thought about skipping. I know like a lot of us you've had struggles in the past that you have clearly overcome and are now in a better place and from one Dad to another it was fantastic to see you spending that daddy daughter time bonding over new skills. Good things come to good people and you are definitely good people so keep living your best life my friend. I look forward to your next project
Once again, this is OUTSTANDING CONTENT! I always learn something new when I watch your videos, as well as affirm that I do have very good understanding and skills needed to complete the projects I have on my "to do list". I really love to see your little girl working alongside of you and how you've outfitted her with her own "mini-size tools"! I was my Dad's "little shadow" in the garage growing up. He always took the time to explain what he was doing at every step of a project or repair. I was like a little sponge soaking up knowledge and developing skills well beyond the comprehension of many adults. He taught me to be a planner, problem solver, and dreamer, but most importantly, instilled in me the courage to be independent. He told me I could do ANYTHING! So happy to see another Dad embracing the opportunity to teach his daughter life long skills! 👏👏👏👏 ~~Christy~~
How can one person do so much work with this level of precision and attention to detail 😮. Then film themselves at the same time. People like you must be made in China. You are amazing!
Next video idea. Fix that board gate!. LOL great video BTW!
Three videos and less than a month!? Christmas came early this year! I always enjoy your content, keep posting!
Dude!!! You’re a f’n beast! You did all that slab work start to finish in under 3 hours? You deserve that machine. They should have sponsored it. Only question is shouldn’t that long a run of concrete have been cut up into smaller sections for expansion and crack proofing? I’m not a concrete guy but everyone seems to do that. I’d probably do it the same way as you. You rock!!! Can’t wait to see your bigger project. Any hints? A pool maybe??? Keep up the good work and glad to see you making videos again.
I like the way you do your videos. Well cut and edited, great voiceover.
Awesome project, your helper was awesome.
Great to see your daughter helping out. She'll be a great builder too just like you. Always love your content cause I learn from you each time
Hey Claude. Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦. Wow, absolutely amazing concrete pour. The slab turned out awesome. As usual, you tackle projects with gusto, and you are always determined to complete your projects. You have a great little helper. Wonderful. Take care, buddy.
Wow! I am impressed by your talent and your energy. I would have had to take a few naps between some of the tasks you completed.
