Just make sure you have a market for the product. Otherwise you wasted your money.
Remember, an 8kw industrial CNC lathe is always a great addition to the home office or bedroom.
Twenty years back I bought a conventional lathe and mill and ran a machine shop out of my garage and did well with it so your ideas are familiar to me. I think a lot of these would have trouble competing with bigger makers but a few of the personalized item makers might work
my cousin bought a chinese embroidery cnc for embroidering ball caps for his little league community. Spent about 4-5 thousand. Machine broke down after a year and he's been waiting a year and a half for part that will fix it. They don't seem to have the part but happy to sell him another machine.
The vast majority of Chinese machinery has no technical staff back up - so if it breaks down or a part of the machine fails you are probably not going to get it running again as their is no support in your own country. Especially true of the smaller businesses in China who sell abroad. Machines will break down no matter how well made they are. That is why it is better buying the machine you want from a manufacturer with a reliable technical back up and support.
That laser welding whilst holding the object with his fingers was crazy!
That block of glass with pictures inside is so cool!
What they don't tell you is: 1 Even before Trump the shipping and import costs as much or more than the machine: yes 5 to 20k depending on machine. Now possibly even more. 2 No customer support and often zero repair parts. These machines often are discontinued before even sold. 3 Low quality, prepare to lose many of your items often killing your profit margins. Embroiling hats means nothing if your machine screws up 3 to get 1 good one. 4 Often China themselves use these machines and sell you the materials at a mark up, then you are competing with their employees. Try making straps and buying nylon thread then see what a spool of premade bulk strapping costs. 5 Prepare to be a salesman as anyone can profit if they have a good enough line of shit Best luck.

perfect timing with the tariffs and all
I import manufacturing machines as a service for US manufacturers. Lots of really good machines over there. Lots to importing and customs clearance, but well worth it if you know what you are doing. If you don't..... It can be a very expensive lesson.
Caution.... Do not use lye without proper protection and ventilation. We made soap at home for the farmers market already. We would only do it when the windows could all be open and fans pushed the air. Lye is used in pretzel making as well.
I'm doing great at my farmers' market selling locally made barbed wire
I ordered a mixing machine from China. I ended up rewiring it to make it work the way it's designed to 😂😂😂😂😂
After a health video I watched last year to today, this is the only worthwhile video I have ever watched on YouTube.
I have been buying from China for 11 years now. They have the most unbelievable amount of compact equipments that can do the same jobs large machineries can do but at a smaller scale. That means small businesses can use these equipments and start before they grow big.
They're 134% more expensive all of a sudden... A $4,000 machine now costs $9,360 ... Make America Great Again.
Start a private label company and sell products to influencers who don't have the time or the experience or know how to run their own Manufacturing business.
It would have been helpful if you had added the prices of each machine !!! 😊😊😊
