Carl Sagan is a visionary. He is so very articulate and gives such a holistic view of things as they are that there sometimes take the breath away. He is such a positive person who has been hopeful for our species. He comes from the same species that f***ed up this exquisite fragile planet.

Most people haven't even set foot outside of their own countries and can't even imagine what their lives will look like beyond their next pay cheque. To think about global issues that span beyond the space and time that they understand is an impossible task. We must first resolve any domestic, social issues that affect people personally before they even have the time to tackle global issues.
